Chester - A Pink Tutu Wonderland!

Post 2130 - www.pink-tutu.com

Oh darling, I'm back, back in the blogosphere, and ready to regale you all with tales of my latest adventure, straight from the heart of charming Chester!

I'll admit, there's something incredibly satisfying about travelling by train. The gentle rocking, the whizzing past scenery, and that heavenly sense of anticipation - I was practically bouncing in my seat as we sped towards the heart of this historical gem. As always, my fabulous pink tutu travelled with me - tucked carefully in its garment bag, safe from any creases or stray spills (though I must say, the aroma of freshly baked pasties drifting through the carriage was very tempting...).

Arriving at Chester Station, I was already in love with the quaint cobblestone streets, the quaint Tudor buildings and the sweet smell of blooming flower boxes hanging over quaint shop windows. It truly is the kind of place you could wander in for hours, simply absorbing the charm of it all.

Naturally, my first stop was for a proper cuppa! I found a sweet little tea shop on the side street - with pale pink walls and flowery cushions - a total delight for any Tutu Queen! After a cuppa that practically made my pink feathers stand on end, it was time for the first dose of sparkle!

As my fabulousness swept through the streets, I couldn't help but admire the array of vintage clothing shops tucked in amongst the antique emporiums. A veritable vintage lover's dream, darlings! Each window display promised unique finds and whispered the alluring siren call of a true vintage queen.

You know, even though I always rock my dazzling, full-blown Pink Tutu Sparkles costume for performances, a little bit of vintage sparkle is truly a treat for the soul! A pair of 1950s-inspired gloves, a glittery hair scarf, or a hand-sequined brooch… Oh, darling, my vintage love knows no bounds!

My walkabout around Chester took me to the Rows. Now, darlings, you absolutely must see these if you’re ever in the city. It's a unique shopping arcade running right through the middle of Chester. These incredible half-timbered shops are nestled above the original shop fronts, like a hidden gem waiting to be discovered.

Just the right amount of gothic and quaint charm! Perfect for me and my tutu to dance in the shadow of the city walls, whispering promises of more adventures to come.

Speaking of promises, this weekend, I’m going to be gracing the stage at a lovely local pub. I’m really looking forward to sharing some of my Pink Tutu Sparkles energy with everyone - and perhaps even encouraging them to unleash their inner tutu queen too!

Of course, no trip to Chester is complete without visiting Chester Zoo! It’s truly one of the most beautiful zoos in the UK. The zoo has an absolutely fabulous orangutan enclosure with the most charming and cheeky looking orangutan - absolutely stole the show!

The beauty of the Chester Zoo is its lush, natural setting. There’s something magical about witnessing those magnificent creatures roaming amongst the foliage – reminding us all to connect with nature and respect our fellow beings.

After the exhilarating time at the zoo, a little slice of luxury seemed fitting, darling! So I booked a lovely afternoon tea at The Queen Hotel. Nestled on the edge of the River Dee, this gorgeous Victorian-era hotel oozed character with its intricately carved décor, beautifully-restored grand rooms, and views out to the Dee Estuary, I practically forgot to take a bite of my fabulous finger sandwiches. But don’t worry darling, I managed to save room for some cake, a bit of delicate floral scones and enough Earl Grey to make any Queen weak in the knees.

In the heart of Chester, surrounded by its charming architecture, bustling city centre, and whispers of history in every cobblestone – a place with enough character to give even my Tutu a little tingle - I found the time and inspiration to create some truly spectacular new pink tutu ensembles for the coming weeks. I can’t wait to share them with all of you darling!

This week's performances will feature my newest tutu, a glorious lilac concoction, complete with feathered boa, hand-painted sequins, and my signature pink sparkly top hat - guaranteed to dazzle and inspire.

As I gaze out from my quaint, boutique hotel, at the stars lighting up the night sky - my mind races with exciting future travels, captivating audiences, and hopefully inspiring everyone I meet to wear a pink tutu.

Until next time, darlings!
Pink Tutu Sparkles xoxo
