So, grab your pinkest outfit (you know I’m all about the pink) and settle in, because today’s adventure takes us to the enchanting town of Stourbridge!
A Tutu-Filled Journey
This journey began, as it always does, with a touch of magic. I hopped onto the train, a dreamy escape into a world of tutus and sequins. The gentle sway of the train felt like a ballet, with my tutu swishing with each gentle turn of the wheels.
Stourbridge greeted me with a smile and a gentle drizzle, the kind that adds a romantic touch to any journey. The cobbled streets whispered stories of the town's rich history, each stone whispering secrets from its past. And of course, no trip is complete without a visit to a local shop where I found the most adorable pink fluffy scarf, perfect for my next tutu-fied ensemble.
Stourbridge, My Stage
As dusk fell, the stage was set for my Stourbridge performance, held in a beautiful theatre. I could feel the electricity in the air, and I was already in my pink tulle wonderland. This venue felt as magical as the town itself - it’s as though I’ve found myself surrounded by tutu-loving folk, eagerly awaiting the start of the show! I was reminded that each town I perform in has a story waiting to be told, a heart waiting to be touched with my own brand of glitter. This was no different and the Stourbridge crowd loved it - there was a lot of cheering and whistling - all so enthusiastic about the tutu power that Pink Tutu Sparkles embodies!
A Touch of Stourbridge Flair
After the show, it was time to explore. As my tutu swished down the street I was amazed at the charming cafes and boutiques, the quaint streets leading to the River Stour, and the breathtaking canalside walkways. Everywhere I went, there was something to spark my imagination, from antique shops that reminded me of a time gone by to independent businesses overflowing with creativity. I felt a pull towards art and history – this town felt magical! And, just imagine - what is better than a place that’s full of lovely boutiques with pink and tulle for the queen of the tutu? Well, let's just say my bank account may feel a bit lighter - I could not resist!
A Tutu-Filled Dream
Before I knew it, my Stourbridge adventure was coming to an end, but I was already dreaming about my next pink-filled trip. My journey to Stourbridge had reminded me why I do what I do: to spread joy and sprinkle tutu magic everywhere I go. As my train rolled back into the countryside I knew my pink tutu dreams would take me to so many other places; so many other stories waiting to be told!
Remember, darlings, every day can be a ballet! Don’t be afraid to put on your most dazzling tutu and embrace your inner spark!

In my day job, I spend my days working in a science lab, testing the fabric we use in clothing - though let me tell you it's not quite as glamours as being Pink Tutu Sparkles!
How did this journey begin?
When I started university and joined the ballet club I went along with friends. I can remember my best mate dragging me to a charity fundraising event - we decided to try on some of the items being sold for charity and somehow this brought out a sparkle in me! I was always attracted to tutus in ballets I'd seen on stage and the ones I'd seen in shows - the idea of the sparkly, glittery, fluttering - well, let’s just say my love for pink was ignited that very night.
What’s Pink Tutu Sparkles like?
My tutu queen name might suggest it, but my style is not just limited to ballet tutus; in fact, my pink is never quite pastel! The more vibrant and shocking, the better. I love to get lost in the vintage section of charity shops – the best place to get those unique one-offs and that little sparkle I look for. And I love a bargain, my fellow tutes - there’s a real thrill finding something fab in the shops, especially when it sparkles as much as a tutu, with some pink added!
A Tutu for Everyone!
From a young age I felt like I was out of place, I was the different one at school. The school trips were exciting, but when I wore the school uniform, I always wanted to wear my own version - with some tutu.
My dream is that everyone in the world gets the opportunity to find their own little inner tutu – whatever that may look like to them - whether they are like me, drawn to the glitz and glamour or they’re wearing something in a muted colour but with a bit of spark. That's what drives my love for all things glittery, all things pink.
