Oh, darlings! Buckle up your glittery high heels, grab your best feather boa, and prepare for a fabulous ride because your favourite pink tutu queen is headed for… Ruislip! 💖💖💖
You guys know me - I'm all about spreading the love, spreading the pink, and spreading the joy of a good ol' fashioned twirl. This weekend I'm off to perform at the Ruislip Summer Fayre, and let me tell you, the anticipation is just sparkling. The thought of the sun on my pink sequins, the roar of the crowd as I bust out my latest choreo... It's gonna be magical!
But before we dive into the glitter and the glamour, let's catch up on what this little queen has been up to, shall we?
Last week, darling, was a whirlwind of sparkles! You see, I've been invited to perform at this divine theatre festival down in Brighton. You wouldn't believe the costumes - all feathers and velvet and shimmering lace! I had to wear my pink ostrich feather boa with a brightly patterned pink tutu! It was just too perfect! The audience loved me. One woman even told me she'd never seen anything quite like it and felt inspired to add a touch of pink to her own wardrobe. It's so gratifying to see my work making a difference.
Of course, no Pink Tutu Sparkles outing is complete without a spot of culture. This trip saw me soaking up the atmosphere at the Royal Pavilion, which, dare I say, was simply magnificent! You see, they've got the most spectacular decorations - gilded rooms and opulent ceilings... A perfect place to imagine a graceful ballerina pirouetting through the centuries.
After Brighton, I took a quick detour back home to Derbyshire. You see, I haven't had the chance to see my family properly for ages! We did a lot of catching up - especially on the exciting developments in my upcoming world tour (just a small joke... although I do dream big, darling!). We also got to spend a lovely afternoon enjoying the sunshine in the gardens of the stately home, Chatsworth. You know me - can't get enough of those graceful English gardens, all those meticulously trimmed bushes and vibrant flower beds. It really sparks my creativity!
Travelling with Pink Tutu Sparkles!
You might be thinking, how on earth does this Pink Tutu Sparkles get around? I know what you're thinking - it's the tutu! You wouldn't be wrong, darling! The thought of lugging around that fabulous tutu makes most of my fellow drag performers opt for cars. Me? I prefer something more stylish - like a vintage railway carriage! I know - utterly flamboyant! But the sound of the chugging engine, the rhythm of the wheels clicking along the tracks, it's such a glamorous way to travel! Not to mention a much greener way to get around than those polluting automobiles.
Besides, it gives me the perfect excuse to dress up even further! You can find me on those train journeys sporting a head-to-toe pink outfit - sequined scarf, pink hat, sparkly leggings... all in keeping with the pink aesthetic, darling!
And you know what's really fun? Sometimes, I travel by horse! It’s absolutely glamorous! I have this lovely connection at the riding school down the road, you see! She’s let me borrow one of her beautiful thoroughbreds, which means I can make an entrance - the likes of which nobody else will be seeing! It's a little bit of a long journey on horseback - I don't think I'm quite there yet when it comes to galloping my way across the country. But trust me, it's a real head turner - I even found myself stopping all the traffic when I was trying to cross the main road near the village. I told the drivers I had important things to attend to, darling - a show to do, some sparkles to spread! I can’t just hang about when I have a job to do!
Now, let's get back to those fabulous sequins!
So, I was just saying - the Ruislip Summer Fayre! You guys know Pink Tutu Sparkles loves a fairground! From the twirling carousels to the flashing neon lights, it's all about bringing that vintage, magical vibe back to life! It's such a wonderful way to celebrate the magic of a sunny summer day.
And I intend to celebrate all day long! There'll be music, dancing, glitter and… of course, the pink tutu!
What’s more, you guys know how much I love the color pink! And the Ruislip Summer Fayre is a real feast for the eyes! All those pastel coloured candy floss and sweet stalls - and you know what goes great with pastel shades? PINK, DARLING! And the little pink lemonade stands! You know me – pink all the way!
