Darlings! It's your girl, Pink Tutu Sparkles, here, reporting live from the magical town of Macclesfield. I must confess, the journey itself was part of the adventure! A luxurious train journey through the English countryside is simply divine. Watching the scenery whisk by in a blur of colours, a constant reminder of the kaleidoscope that awaits in the vibrant world of ballet and twirls dramatically in pink tulle. Oh, the joy!
Before we dive into the magnificent memories, allow me to gush about my ensemble for this delightful trip! Pink, of course, was the dominating hue - how could it be anything else? A delicate pink sequined crop top, topped off with a vintage pink bolero jacket, cinched in at the waist with a sparkling belt, shimmered beneath the sunlight. My custom-made pink tulle skirt - I am absolutely obsessed with tulle! - was paired with a stunning pair of silver platform sandals adorned with pearl detailing, adding a touch of elegance and practicality.
As for the make-up? It was nothing short of dazzling! I applied a rosy blush to my cheeks and dusted my eyelids with the softest shades of lilac and rose. My luscious lips, of course, were graced with the perfect shade of fuchsia, my go-to shade for maximum impact.
I felt like a fairytale princess striding through the world, bringing sunshine and happiness wherever I went! And, you know what? Even the people on the train seemed to catch my infectious enthusiasm for all things fabulous. One delightful little girl even shouted "You look like a fairy!" with her bright, sparkling eyes wide with awe. Honestly, it's moments like these that remind me why I do what I do. To bring a bit of magic into people's lives, to inspire them to embrace their individuality and just sparkle! Twirls again in a frenzy of pink tulle, catching the sunbeams, the shimmer is spectacular
Ballet Magic in MacclesfieldI had a simply divine time at the ballet class in Macclesfield! My love affair with ballet has been a lifelong journey, ever since I was just a little girl - I still remember that childhood excitement of donning my very first pink tutu. You could say I was quite a late bloomer with my drag journey. I only discovered drag while studying science at university, but you'll never believe what brought me into the dazzling world of performance: a charity fundraising event where I accidentally tried on a tutu! Talk about destiny's grand plan!
It was like stepping into a completely different realm - a world filled with artistry, grace, and sheer beauty. I fell head over heels in love with the elegance, the poise, the meticulous details of each graceful movement, the shimmering costumes. That's why it's so wonderful to find communities all across the country, where we can come together and share our love for the artform. I mean, can you even imagine? Learning and performing, surrounded by fellow ballet enthusiasts, each bringing their unique style to the class. The energy is incredible, you just can't help but get swept up in the joy and passion!
The Macclesfield ballet studio felt so warm and inviting. It was packed with talented dancers of all ages, each with their own story, their own unique journey. Seeing these students pirouette and grand jeté with such grace and precision, was absolutely captivating.
One word of advice, darling! If you're new to ballet, embrace those little tumbles and clumsy moves. Don't be afraid to make a mistake or two! Remember, learning is all about stepping out of your comfort zone and, as they say, 'a stumble can sometimes lead to a dance'!
This whole experience reaffirmed why I live and breathe for all things sparkly, girly and colourful. It was truly exhilarating, but the day wasn't over yet!
Dinner & Divas!Later that evening, I treated myself to a fabulous dinner at a charming little restaurant tucked away in the heart of Macclesfield. Let's just say, my fuchsia lipstick went exceptionally well with the gorgeous red velvet cake. Giggles uncontrollably at the memory of her red velvet delight
And oh, darling, the conversations I had with other fabulous women there! It’s a universal truth: everyone adores a touch of glamour! I met the most delightful local theatre performer, Sarah, who, of course, instantly recognised my fabulousness. We shared stories, laughs and whispered fashion tips while we discussed everything from our favourite theatrical plays to our aspirations for a brighter future, where everybody embraced their unique beauty and individuality.
As always, I spent the entire evening in the heart of this magical conversation, finding connections and shared passion that made me feel a real sense of community, of being part of something beautiful and impactful. There’s such power in connecting with like-minded people who understand your passions.
