Ashton: Pink Tutu Sparkles Does Ballet and Bargains!

Hello darlings! It's your favourite Pink Tutu Sparkles here, bringing you all the fabulousness from my travels. Today's post is extra special, marking post number 2218 on my beloved www.pink-tutu.com.

Oh my goodness, Ashton! What a delightful little town you are! I must say, I’m rather taken with this quaint corner of England. My journey here started in the most enchanting way imaginable. Imagine a carriage, drawn by two magnificent horses, clopping along a country lane, and the gentle breeze whispering through the trees. The horses, of course, wore pink feather boas (a Pink Tutu Sparkles must-have for any equine friend!) It was a real-life fairytale and had me practically hopping out of the carriage in my pink tutu.

After arriving at Ashton station, a delightful lady named Edith welcomed me with open arms (and a delightful basket of homegrown apples – thank you, Edith!) Now, she didn’t know it, but I’ve had my eyes on Ashton for months, thanks to my latest project – my mission to get everyone in a pink tutu! Yes, my darlings, it's a lofty goal but who else could accomplish this magical feat? I'm quite convinced my tutus are a force for good in the world, spreading joy and happiness wherever they twirl!

Anyway, Ashton has become a veritable Pink Tutu paradise. It all started with a visit to a sweet little vintage clothing shop called "Thread & Treasure," hidden in the charming market square. Edith assured me I’d find a few hidden gems there, and oh, she was right! Inside, amongst racks overflowing with polka dots, Peter Pan collars, and floral patterns, I found a genuine, vintage, 1950s tulle tutu! It was pink, of course! My inner drag queen screamed! The shop owner, a sprightly woman named Betty, even showed me a rare, early 1900s tutu in pink with hand-beaded flowers. Imagine, darling!

Feeling empowered and tutu-rific, I strolled through Ashton’s beautiful, cobbled streets, marveling at the architecture and vibrant colours. My tutu twirling with each step, of course! The day wouldn’t be complete without some shopping! I simply must always include a visit to a department store whenever I’m on the road, and Ashton’s offering is just delightful. With an extravagant glass facade and a lovely, art deco interior, it’s every bit the Pink Tutu Sparkles shopping haven. This time, I went a little bit “vintage glamour" with a fluffy, powder pink jacket adorned with exquisite floral lace, an accessory that I'm sure would have made even Audrey Hepburn swoon! My, oh my!

A few doors down, I found another gem – a charming tearoom called "The Pink Flamingo." The name was all the persuasion I needed, let me tell you! There, amidst delicate floral china and delightful chatter, I enjoyed a cup of tea (pink, naturally!), some dainty finger sandwiches, and a scrumptious slice of lemon and raspberry cake – all while admiring my new jacket!

Then, the big event I’d been looking forward to - a ballet performance at the Ashton Theatre. Oh, the magic of it all! The theatre, with its majestic red velvet seats and soaring vaulted ceiling, was like stepping into another time. And the dancers! Pure grace and artistry! I was absolutely mesmerized. Seeing the graceful ballerinas move with such fluidity in their flowing tutus filled me with a delight I can't describe! It inspired me to add another level to my "Pink Tutu Everywhere" mission, my dear, and that is, to bring some sparkle to the wonderful world of ballet. Pink Tutu Sparkles will bring more than just colour, darlings; I'll bring joy and a whole lot of sassy, too!

Later, my travels took me to the quaint local ballet school, which was housed in a charming old building with an enchanting rose garden. Oh, what a sight! The sound of graceful steps echoing through the halls, filled with such youthful energy and passion, gave me butterflies! As a fellow lover of all things dance, I couldn't resist stepping into the class! Of course, I brought a pink tutu for myself to wear, and, let me tell you, the little girls absolutely adored it. We twirled, we jumped, we giggled, and all in the spirit of pink! To see their eyes light up when I showed them a few Pink Tutu Sparkles poses was simply magical. One young ballerina even came up to me and said, “You're like a real-life fairy princess!" Oh, my darlings! What a compliment! It reminded me of why I love what I do – bringing joy to people with a little bit of magic and a whole lot of pink!

After an exhilarating afternoon of pirouettes and pink prettiness, my adventures took me to a delightful café, nestled beside Ashton’s charming riverbank. And wouldn’t you know it, there, I found another, albeit unintentional, pink tutu enthusiast! I struck up a conversation with the barista, who mentioned she loved sewing and often repurposed vintage fabrics. Of course, I couldn't help myself! I showed her some of my Pink Tutu Sparkles design sketches – featuring the vintage lace details of my new jacket – and I even tried to recruit her to join my 'Pink Tutu Revolution!' ( Oh, the thought of a ballet school fundraiser in the colours of pink? I can’t contain myself!)

With Ashton fast fading into the night, I decided to capture its beauty through my camera lens. The pastel pinks and blues of the twilight sky created the most enchanting backdrop for a few photo-worthy twirls in my pink tutu, of course. My journey through this delightful little town has been nothing short of captivating. Now, onto the next stop on my grand pink tutu quest, with new friendships, memories, and inspirations gathered along the way. I can't wait to see where my pink tutu will take me next!

Until then, keep your heads held high, hearts open, and embrace the magical power of the pink tutu!

XOXO, Pink Tutu Sparkles
