This is post number 2221, and it's time to twirl you through the delights of Catford, because my dears, I've been feeling a bit peckish, and you know what goes hand-in-hand with my tutu and sequins? A hearty fry-up, of course! 🍳🥓
Let's get the train wheels rolling: I left the bustling beauty of Derby bright and early this morning. A little early for someone as glam as me, but sometimes you've just gotta grab life by the glitter cannon and fire away, am I right? 🚂 Anyway, a train journey is just perfect for a bit of pre-show contemplation. My dressing room mirror wasn't big enough to really showcase the majesty of this outfit! Think bubblegum pink tulle with sequins, a sheer lilac top (thank goodness I wore a little something underneath), and oh my darling, the shoes! My new glitter platform boots, complete with tiny pink bows that give a wink to my girly-girl side!
Now, Catford has a certain charm, I must say. It's got that gritty London feel but just a touch of sweetness because they do a truly magnificent sticky toffee pudding at this little cafe just down the road from the venue! A perfect post-show treat, wouldn't you agree? But my show, my darlings, well, that's where the real sparkle starts! You wouldn't believe how many delighted little faces I saw in the crowd! Little boys and girls were captivated, and some even had pink tutus on! Oh, the pure joy! Just makes my heart (and my sparkly pink tutu!) dance!
My act in Catford wasn't just for kids, mind you. I had some big ol' hunky blokes belting out "Barbie Girl" with me! It was an absolute riot! Just shows, life's too short to take things too seriously. Let's laugh, let's sing, and let's wear pink! 😜
So here's my life lesson for the day, dears. Sometimes, just like when a new lipstick is introduced, we just have to embrace the moment, the glitter, the madness, and wear it with confidence.
