Guess who's just had a fab time in the gorgeous little town of Middleton? That's right, me! I know, I know, it's not exactly the first place you think of when you imagine a drag queen's glamorous escapades. But honestly, Middelton was just delightful. It's the sort of place that whispers "tea and scones" with a side of charming cobbled streets and the scent of blooming roses in the air.
Travel Time!
You know me, darlings, I'm all about those adventurous travel vibes! And my journey to Middleton was no exception. This time, I decided to ditch the train and embrace a more… equine way of travelling. Yep, you heard me right! I rode a horse - and not just any horse, darling, a beautiful chestnut stallion named Prince. Now, you may be thinking, “Pink Tutu Sparkles, that’s bonkers!” But trust me, the thrill of a gentle trot through rolling countryside with the wind whipping through my hair? Absolute magic! And a far more elegant entrance than a cramped, smelly train carriage.
Middelton Memories
And what a charming little place Middleton turned out to be! It felt like a fairytale, complete with that old-world charm and those adorable little independent shops bursting with delightful treasures. I indulged in a spot of window shopping, and oh darling, you won’t believe the bargains I found! Think pink polka-dot purses, floral headbands perfect for my next performance, and a truly stunning collection of handmade ballet shoes - which just wouldn't be a trip without! It's my sworn duty as the Tutu Queen to stock up on beautiful things, after all!
Of course, a visit to Middleton wouldn't be complete without some serious dancing. After all, my darlings, I live for that swirling twirling, all-encompassing delight! Now, I know it may seem obvious that Middleton boasts a delightful dance studio… but honestly, you would not believe this place! It was bigger than my entire apartment! Imagine walls decked with beautiful ballet posters, gleaming hardwood floors that echoed the gentle rhythm of tap dancing, and the sweet smell of fresh pinewood, a welcome relief to my nose. I even found a whole room dedicated to tutus - just for me, darling! Can you imagine?
I had to have a try, of course, and believe me, it was absolute joy Twirling around, my tulle a delightful cloud of pink against the backdrop of shimmering dance floor, with my reflection dancing in the large mirrors – pure perfection. It's all about celebrating the artistry of movement, the magic of expression through dance, and the sheer joy of a little pirouette!
Don't forget the Shows!
Of course, what trip would be complete without a fabulous performance! My darling, I've got news. The local theatre here is an absolute gem! A little dated but charming, it transported me straight back to the golden era of music hall. They even had a velvet rope, just like a real, top-notch club!
I knew exactly what my show was going to be about. A mashup of dance and song, telling the story of a little girl who finds herself lost in a beautiful pink ballet, filled with sparkling dreams and fantastical adventures. It's all about self-expression, darling! And trust me, the audience loved it!
