It's your favourite Pink Tutu Queen here, and you know what? Today's blog post is all about my latest adventures. Can you guess where I went? You might have already figured it out from the title...it's Airdrie, babes! This little adventure marked post number 2249 on www.pink-tutu.com, and I have to say, it was an absolute dream.
A Dream in Pink
Before we get into the fabulous details, let me tell you how I got to this magical town in Scotland. Now, as you all know, I live and breathe for pink tutus, and for me, the thrill of travelling by train never gets old. A big part of my joy in travelling comes from the opportunity to wear my favourite colour, head-to-toe. So, my trusty suitcase (stuffed to the brim with sparkles, of course) was packed, and off I went, a whirlwind of pink tulle and dreams.
The journey itself was pure delight. A cuppa in my favourite pink travel mug, gazing at the passing landscapes… It's so soothing to just watch the world go by, don't you think? Of course, the highlight was watching a beautiful sunrise over the English countryside. A bit of magic before I got to the true adventure in Airdrie.
Sparkling Dreams in Airdrie
Now, you might be wondering why Airdrie, right? Well, babes, Airdrie has become a new haven for fabulous performances. I always try to branch out from London, so this time, it was all about bringing my sparkliest drag to the north! I heard about the incredible “Airdrie Arts Centre,” a real hub of artistic brilliance, and I was itching to perform there!
The theatre was stunning, the atmosphere electric, and I just knew I had to show these wonderful folks what Pink Tutu Sparkles could do. I packed the whole shebang: glittery costumes, feathery fans, even some extra-sparkly eye makeup for that extra touch of magic!
An Ode to Pink
So, I did what I do best: twirled, pranced, and sang my little heart out. There I was, on the stage in a flowing, dazzling pink tutu, under those magical theatre lights, spreading a little pink love all over Airdrie.
My performance was all about sharing the joy of movement, a message of love and confidence, a bit of whimsy… really, who doesn’t want a little whimsy in their lives, right? Plus, who can resist a good old fashioned, sparkly Pink Tutu Sparkles dance?
A Dance with the Stars
And the response? Honestly, you wouldn't believe the roaring applause and cheering. Even the Mayor of Airdrie was clapping! (Can you imagine a mayor loving my pink tutus? Talk about a dream come true!). After my set, there were people lining up for photos, asking about my tutus, even asking how they could join in my “wear-a-tutu” revolution! (I tell ya, it’s spreading!)
A young girl, all wide-eyed and beaming, asked if she could try on my tutu after the show. Well, what kind of drag queen would I be if I said no, right?
And oh my stars, seeing that little face light up at the sheer pink fabulousness of it all… truly, that's what it's all about, you know?
Food, Fashion and Friendship
The evening wasn't just about performing. Airdrie is so lovely! After the show, we enjoyed a wonderful meal, and the conversation, of course, flowed as smoothly as a good glass of champagne! I talked with these lovely Airdrie folks about fashion, art, the future, even about tutus (naturally!). The night flew by, and honestly, I felt like I was among real friends. I love those moments when the energy just flows between people.
I'm even more determined to continue spreading my message, because it was so inspiring to connect with a town that truly values art, colour, and just plain joy!

So, as I close this chapter, Airdrie has become a new favourite stop on the Pink Tutu Sparkles tour! My heart is full, my suitcase is (of course!) filled with memories, and my love for pink tutus has multiplied tenfold.
