Now, you might be wondering, how did I get here? Well, my loves, a little birdy (or perhaps a pink-feathered flamingo) whispered to me about an amazing opportunity to perform at a fabulous local festival! Needless to say, this queen wouldn't miss it for the world, even if it meant a scenic journey by train. (Although I confess, riding a horse to Aberdeen wouldn't be too shabby either!)
Travelling is my passion, you see! Each adventure is a chance to spread the pink-tutu love, one sparkly frock at a time. Imagine, darling, you could be sipping tea in a charming little cafe, minding your own business, and suddenly - BAM! A vision in pink bursts through the doors! Pink tutu swishing, feathers glistening, a symphony of shimmering joy! And that, my dears, would be yours truly. The queen on a mission!
But back to my Aberdeen escapade! It's a charming city full of beautiful parks and bustling markets, and the people - absolutely lovely! As soon as I arrived, the kind folks helped me lug my massive suitcase filled with costumes - well, it wouldn't do to travel without my pink-tutu options!
Now, if you haven't visited Aberdeen before, I urge you to make the trip. It's absolutely bursting with personality. My first stop? The grand, beautiful art gallery! The architecture was incredible. Imagine if your favourite tutu was sculpted from stone - well, it felt a bit like that! Of course, I just HAD to take a few snaps in front of this stunning building for Instagram! And can we talk about the museum? From historical artifacts to fascinating sculptures, I could've spent all day lost in that treasure trove of knowledge.
Speaking of treasures, Aberdeen's streets are practically overflowing with fantastic independent shops and boutiques. It's a shopaholic's paradise! I found some truly beautiful shoes, and darling, I just couldn't resist snagging a brand-new feather boa for my upcoming performance! It was pure feather heaven!
But my loves, what would a trip to Aberdeen be without a visit to the majestic ballet! I was beyond thrilled to watch a truly breathtaking performance by the Aberdeen Ballet. Those ballerinas are the epitome of elegance, their movements were simply mesmerizing! It truly filled my heart with joy - the costumes, the music, the raw talent - everything just sparkled! I swear I felt a few tears welling up, it was so beautiful!
The show truly inspired me to grab my pointe shoes and twirl around a bit. I mean, how can you not?! You know how much I love a good pirouette. But alas, dear darlings, my performance duties awaited, so back to the sparkly, sequinned, and feather-clad Pink Tutu Sparkles, ready to shine bright in the spotlight!
My show was an absolute blast! The audience was so incredibly welcoming, I could barely contain my excitement. I think I heard the phrase "tutu fantastic" more than once, which always brings a smile to my face! Everyone was truly enthusiastic, it really made me feel so grateful to be doing what I love!
Before I knew it, my time in Aberdeen had flown by! I bid farewell to the lovely city, feeling completely refreshed and brimming with joy. My next adventure awaits, and you can bet I'll be documenting it all, from outfit changes to post-performance bites!
