Paris, Mon Amour! 🇫🇷 Post #2350

Bonjour, my darlings! Pink Tutu Sparkles here, fresh from the City of Lights, and oh, how it has sparkled for me! It's always a treat to travel, and this trip to Paris was simply divine. I had to share it with you all, so settle in, grab a cuppa (or a pink-tinted champagne, darling!), and let me tell you all about it.

Now, let's get right down to it. Paris! How could a girl like me, with a passion for pink and tutus, not adore this city? It was like stepping straight out of a ballet, with its romantic cobbled streets, the scent of croissants wafting from every boulangerie, and of course, the magnificent Eiffel Tower, looking utterly majestic against the twilight sky. Swoon!

My trip began with a rather glamorous, old-fashioned journey by train - something I'm increasingly partial to, wouldn't you say? So chic! The Eurostar whisked me across the Channel like a pink feathered dream. From the moment I boarded, with my luggage containing my sparkly gowns, my tutu collection (because every girl needs backup, don't you agree?), and my trusty pink eyeshadow palette (essential!), I felt like a Parisian fairytale coming to life.

The arrival in Paris, I have to tell you, felt rather magical. The station was bursting with people rushing off to all sorts of exciting destinations. But I, Pink Tutu Sparkles, knew where I was going. The smell of Parisian air, a touch of vanilla and rain, hit me like a love potion. Oh, the romance!

I had booked a little charming hotel, full of antique furniture and dainty floral wallpaper - a proper Parisian affair. I dumped my bag and did the most sensible thing: I hit the streets for some retail therapy.

As you all know, my weakness is a good bargain, darling, and the sales in Paris are just chef's kiss! From designer gowns to little boutiques selling cute and sparkly trinkets, I snagged a fabulous collection of outfit additions - feather boas, sparkly headbands, and even a couple of new tutus that simply stole my heart. Did I mention I love tutus? I think you know my answer.

And what would a trip to Paris be without some culture? Of course, I booked myself tickets for the ballet! The Grand Palais - simply spectacular. The choreography, the costumes... chef's kiss again... absolutely exquisite. There was a dancer dressed as a pink ballerina... I simply HAD to applaud extra loudly! I was positively inspired, as you might imagine, to return to my own performances and twirl my way to bigger and brighter stages.

During the days, I ventured around the iconic sights, snapping pictures to show you lovely people, of course. A pink tutu does not fail to bring joy wherever it goes, let me tell you! But my real love for Paris was its hidden gems - quaint little cafés, overflowing with charm, the flower markets overflowing with the colours of a rainbow - like a dream for a tutu queen, eh?

And let's not forget the food! Paris is a foodie's paradise, I'm telling you. The creamy richness of their cheeses, the perfectly crusty bread... ah, how my heart sings! But most importantly, the pastries! The croissants, the macarons - I devoured them with a passion bordering on fanaticism. I must admit I felt like a little sugar fairy by the end of it all. Giggles

Now, you know me and my love for travelling with a touch of extravagance, so naturally, a trip to the city of love wasn't complete without a fancy horse-drawn carriage ride through the charming streets. It felt like a storybook come to life, me in my most elegant pink dress, the horse pulling me through a picture perfect setting. So fabulous, and honestly? A little bit like a Disney film!

I returned home after a whirlwind adventure in Paris, my heart brimming with joy, and my suitcase full of treasures. As I type this, I am surrounded by my spoils - an array of pink satin ribbon, a delicate beaded necklace, and the crème de la crème... a fluffy pink tutu that stole my heart at the local markets!

To be honest, my darlings, the beauty of this Parisian experience wasn’t just about the iconic monuments or the beautiful fashions. It was the feeling, the aura of that wonderful city that captured me. That feeling, you see, is contagious. So don't be afraid to step outside your comfort zone. Wear that pink tutu with pride and go for your dreams, because let me tell you, they can come true.

Until next time, stay sparkly,

Pink Tutu Sparkles xx
