This is post number 2353 for those keeping score, and believe me, this journey ain’t stopping anytime soon! I’ve got more adventures and pink-tastic ideas than you can shake a glitter bomb at! 💥
Right, this week's fab voyage? Well, it led me to the glorious, historical, and dare I say, tutu-worthy town of Harrow! If you haven’t been to this London gem, well, darling, you’ve been missing out on a proper dose of quintessential British charm!
Now, let's get this out of the way - I'm obsessed with trains. That's no secret, my darlings. From the first steam engine puffing to life, I knew that trains and I were meant to be, forever chugging along to the tune of my dreams! 🚂 But the journey up to Harrow wasn't just about a journey on steel wheels, oh no. It was a proper "Pink Tutu Sparkles experience" which means: a big pink suitcase, sequins and plenty of "look at me!" style 💄👗. I even packed some extra tutus for some of the locals. Yes, my goal of "World Tutu Domination" is underway, even in the most unsuspecting of places!
And Harrow, my dear readers, didn’t disappoint. Now, I love a good, bustling city, but there's something special about towns steeped in history. The quaint little streets of Harrow oozed with a charm that got me all warm and fuzzy inside. I popped into "Harrow-on-the-Hill," and honestly, the view was absolutely breathtaking. Who knew a little hillside town could have views so gorgeous? They just make you want to twirl in a pink tutu with joy, don't they? 🌸
One of my favourite things about travelling is discovering new ballet classes, and Harrow did not disappoint! I signed up for an evening ballet class at the gorgeous Harrow Arts Centre and let me tell you, those ladies are a FORCE to be reckoned with! I swear I learned a new twirl, a new pirouette, and a new fancy footwork step all in one night! The studio was lit up with this dreamy, soft glow and I honestly felt like a ballerina in my own fairy-tale movie. It felt like something out of the most wonderful tutu-tastic ballet!🩰 And yes, I totally showed off my fabulous pink tutus in the ballet studio! They loved it, darling. The pink, the sparkles, the whole shebang! They're even coming to see my performance at The Black Horse next week!
I spent my first night in Harrow wandering around the high streets. Now, when it comes to fashion, you might say Harrow's got some catching up to do. Oh darling, it's no Harrods by a long shot! But, you know what, it's the people, the personalities, that truly bring the sparkle. I picked up some charming little "Pink Tutu Sparkles" souvenirs for my fans (don't worry, it involved pink and lots of sparkle) and some local delicacies for a "pink tutu afternoon tea." The bakers even made some tutus out of cake, it was fabulous!
Of course, my trip to Harrow wouldn't be complete without a performance! Now, my dear readers, I’ll have you know that Harrow is teeming with fantastic talent, and some seriously cool venues! I managed to grab a “Tutu & Tinsel" gig at the fantastic Harrow Rugby Club! Let's just say the crowd was totally loving my act, and my sequined suit made them all sparkle even brighter. I saw a couple of folks doing the pink tutu walk-the-line dance and even the referee in his striped shirt had a great time! Who knew Rugby and pink tutus could go hand-in-hand?
So, there you have it, darling! My little jaunt to Harrow! I even made time to go horseback riding for an afternoon! That, my dears, was a true testament to how fab this town really is. Those horses, bless their souls, were a lot more tolerant of pink tutus than I had imagined!
I'm already looking forward to my next trip back! Harrow, darling, I can’t wait to come and share more of my sparkling brilliance!
