Kensington: Sparkling Amongst The Royals! 💖🩰👑 (Post #2420)

Hello my darlings, and welcome to Pink-Tutu.com, the ultimate destination for all things pink and fabulous! Your girl Pink Tutu Sparkles here, and boy oh boy, are you in for a treat! Today I'm bursting with excitement because, get this, I'm in London! That's right, I traded my Derbyshire hills for the cobbled streets of Kensington and I'm just glowing!

This trip has been in the works for ages, and it’s the result of weeks of performing at fetes and fundraisers (I’m still fundraising to buy a whole rack of tutus, but shhh, don't tell!). And this time, my fabulous fans, I took the train! My train journey was just divine! It's so much more elegant than flying, don't you think? It was like travelling back in time, the leather seats and the view of the countryside just had me swooning. And of course, I couldn't resist wearing a pink tutu - how else would I travel, darling? I was definitely turning heads at Euston station!

Speaking of fabulous travel companions, did you know that you can travel by horse here in England? I just couldn’t resist hiring a magnificent, pink-trimmed horse called Prince for a little ride through Hyde Park! Now, that was an experience! The air smelled so fresh and the sound of birdsong just filled my heart with joy. Prince and I looked like we were straight out of a fairytale! And, I think I even spotted a royal peeking through the window! 😉

So, what’s been happening in Kensington you ask? Well, firstly, the shopping! You’ll be pleased to know that I’ve found the most incredible boutique where they sell all manner of pink tulle! I am absolutely living my best life. I've been planning my next dazzling outfit since I walked through the door! I think this sparkly bodice will be perfect for my next performance! I know you’re all loving this already, darling!

Next, the theatre scene here in Kensington is simply spectacular. You’ve never seen so many beautiful buildings, some with histories dating back hundreds of years. I even managed to sneak into the back of a performance of The Nutcracker. Don't worry, I didn't interrupt the performance! The whole evening was simply breathtaking! Seeing the dancers grace the stage in their graceful tutus, with all those sparkly costumes… magical! Of course, I had to see if there were any ballet classes I could pop in on. The sheer skill of these ballet dancers truly makes my heart sing. I must learn from them somehow! I have to work on my fouetté!

Speaking of ballet, I even took a pink tutu for a spin at a street dance performance in Kensington. They all loved it, darlings! One little girl told me I looked like a princess from a candy shop - and she was right, wasn't she? She was adorable and so, so excited about the tutu, she even offered to swap for her sparkly hairband - but I can’t swap it. It's a symbol of who I am.

You see, my darlings, I haven’t always been a pink-tutu-wearing drag queen. Back when I was still Alex, just a normal scientist by day and an ambitious ballet dancer by night, I first discovered the magic of the pink tutu while studying science at the university. It was a fundraising event, a fancy dress ball in support of breast cancer research. They were trying to sell every type of costume they could, so I donned a tutu - just for fun, you know. And from that moment, darling, I was hooked. I felt such pure joy and I’ve been dedicated to the art of drag ever since!

So, remember my lovely followers, just because you’re not a professional drag queen like me doesn’t mean you can’t embody the fabulousness! Just try adding a touch of pink into your life, my dears! I think it would make a wonderful statement for us all. A splash of colour, a symbol of kindness, a whisper of joy… and hey, a whole lot of sparkle!

Until next time, darlings, and remember to always keep sparkling!

Love,

Pink Tutu Sparkles 💕
