It's a true pleasure to be gracing the South West with my pink presence, as always travelling by the most fabulous mode of transport: the trusty train! Oh, the joys of being swept away on rails, watching the English countryside whizz by with a glass of bubbly and a packet of Hobnobs (don't judge, darling, it's a proper train ritual!). 💖🥂
Speaking of charm, Paignton is all that and more! I swear, the moment I stepped off the train at Paignton Station, it was like a kaleidoscope exploded in my mind – all pastel seaside hues, cute little shops selling souvenirs that reminded me of childhood holidays (you know, those days with giant inflatable flamingoes!), and a smattering of adorable cafes with cakes that screamed “indulge me!”
This time I'm not just visiting to admire the lovely sights and treat myself to an outrageous afternoon tea (think strawberry tarts with extra whipped cream!), I’m here for a full-on Pink Tutu spectacular! You see, Paignton is not only blessed with gorgeous scenery but also with an incredible cultural scene, and guess who’s the star of the show this week? 💅💖 Me, of course!
It’s been ages since I had the pleasure of entertaining the good people of Devon, so I’m absolutely thrilled to be performing my new act: “The Tutu Takes Flight”! Think: sparkly sequined tutus that shimmer like a thousand stars, feather boas that could rival the feathers of a tropical bird, and of course, my trademark dazzling smile that's as bright as the midday sun. And did I mention glitter? Because let’s face it, what's a Pink Tutu Sparkles performance without a good, generous sprinkle of shimmering magic?! ✨
But wait, there’s more! You see, my trip wouldn’t be complete without immersing myself in the local culture, and luckily, Paignton's packed with charming events that really make this little town sparkle.
Last night, I absolutely adored watching the talented dancers at the Paignton Theatre's rendition of 'Swan Lake'! I mean, these swans were truly captivating! Ballet always manages to mesmerise me; the elegance, the grace, the storytelling – it's pure art! I'm not ashamed to admit, there were a few happy tears streaming down my face, as my heart danced right along with them. (It really makes you appreciate your own tutu spinning skills!)
But my love for dance extends far beyond the theatre stage. My darling, this trip is also about taking a deep dive into the world of ballet, and you can bet your bottom dollar I'm making the most of it!
The Paignton Library has been hosting this incredible ballet class series for the local community. So, picture this: me, in a lovely pink tutu, gliding across the wooden floor alongside these charming ladies (and gentlemen!) – we're all trying our best, and let me tell you, laughter is a big part of the process! We’re definitely going for grace, but also a good dose of pink-tutu-fueled fun!
After a morning of gracefully learning en pointe moves, I can’t forget to indulge in my second favourite passion: shopping! You know I’m all about the perfect ensemble for a truly spectacular evening performance. Today I stumbled upon the cutest boutique shop right on Paignton Green, packed with treasures that spoke to my fashion-forward soul. It’s a total fashion dream! Think vintage style dresses in eye-catching colours, vintage hats that shout "sophisticated", and even a beautiful pair of glittery pink shoes! Oh, it was a real treat, darling, just browsing and fantasizing! I’m a strong believer that when you dress for the occasion, your soul just takes flight, and believe me, it was definitely the case for this Pink Tutu Queen! 💖
And the best part of all, my lovelies, is that my mission is to sprinkle my pink magic and glitter on everyone I meet.
