So many fab venues, friendly faces, and some truly spectacular performances that made me want to jump out on stage and twirl with them! Folkestone: A Whirlwind of Pink!
So, my journey to Folkestone began on the railway, naturally! I just adore those long journeys on the train. They allow me to relax, soak in the scenery (and dream up my next outfit - you'll see that one soon!), and most importantly, get that gorgeous inspiration flowing! And let me tell you, Folkestone is brimming with inspiration! Imagine this: bright pink skies, the shimmering sea, and cobbled streets full of hidden shops and buzzing restaurants. Honestly, it was like stepping into a charming storybook. You can see why it was the setting for those amazing novels, right?
The Harbour and a Dash of Dance!
Right, before I tell you all about my performances, let me take you on a tour of Folkestone's Harbour. Think vibrant murals, the smell of fresh seafood wafting from bustling markets, and boat trips galore! I even spotted a couple of cheeky seagulls sporting little pink tutus! 🦜 Maybe I should start selling tutu accessories for our feathery friends - what do you think, darlings?
Speaking of performances, oh darling, you have no idea! First, I graced a lovely little theater with my presence! The audience was fabulous! We had everything from little fairies wearing sparkling crowns (seriously, the cuteness overload was REAL) to sophisticated couples sipping on cocktails. Then, right by the beach, I had a spectacular set up, the sound of the waves gently swaying me as I sashayed in my signature pink. Talk about a dream setting! You'd be surprised, the sea air just gives an extra spring in my step! 🩰 It really took my performance to another level.
Folkestone's Fashion Forwardness!
Now, you know I couldn't resist a bit of shopping, right? Folkestone was a treasure trove for fabulous finds! There was this gorgeous vintage boutique overflowing with glitzy gowns and statement jewelry. They even had this gorgeous, hand-knitted pink cashmere cardigan that just whispered "Pink Tutu Sparkles!" Sadly, it was just a bit out of my budget (it was an absolute dream!), but I did manage to find this stunning, hand-painted, pastel pink clutch bag that would match my new pink tutu perfectly! It was practically meant to be! I told you, I can spot a good tutu match a mile away!
The Grand Finale - Pink Tutu Dreams!
It's no surprise that this trip was an absolute triumph. But let me tell you, there was one particular moment that just stole my heart: You see, there was this group of youngsters by the beach - probably on their school trip, or perhaps even a ballet group? Anyway, as they walked past, I was simply captivated by their laughter and carefree energy! Then, I saw them - these darling kids, sporting little tutus! Little pink ones, just like mine!
And in that moment, you could hear it - the sound of hearts fluttering as a vision of a world covered in pink tutus blossomed bright and strong. My dream, to inspire the world to twirl with joy! My pink dream, in every beautiful little, and not-so-little pink tutu! ✨
