Today's post is a tad special, you see, as I'm coming to you direct from the train. I love travelling by train, it's the perfect way to watch the world go by, let your imagination soar, and, of course, show off my fabulous new outfit! I decided to ditch my usual tutu and go for a floaty, silk pink number that swishes with every movement. I can practically hear the whispers, “Oh my, is that a real pink tutu? And on a train, no less!"
But before we get to my Worksop adventure, let's rewind a bit.
It's no secret to my loyal followers that pink tutus hold a special place in my heart. But have you ever wondered how a science-y sort like yours truly, Alex, ended up obsessed with fluffy pink dance wear?
Well, picture this: young, nerdy Alex in university, surrounded by beakers and Bunsen burners, totally out of her depth, except when she was at ballet class. That's right, ballet! It's the only thing that made me feel completely and utterly myself.
Now, imagine that Alex stumbling across a charity event where the highlight was… gasp… a pink tutu competition. Cue the internal scream of glee. It was my very first time trying one on. I know, shocking, right?! I won, of course (don't worry, it was mostly for laughs and giggles). And that was it, my tutu-obsessed life began!

You see, my latest adventure is a little bit different than a typical show at a London nightclub. Today, I found myself on a mission. A pink tutu mission, that is! I had received a message from a young fan who was starting her ballet journey. This beautiful little girl wanted to be just like Pink Tutu Sparkles! And what’s Pink Tutu Sparkles without her pink tutus, right?!
You can bet that I swooped into Worksop like a pink whirlwind! This town truly has it all – a vibrant community, a heart of gold, and, as I soon discovered, a hidden treasure: a delightful little ballet school that looked like something straight out of a fairytale!
A Tutu Workshop with a Twist!
Imagine this: me, a room full of enthusiastic children, pink fabric galore, and glitter… oh so much glitter. It was like a fairytale come true! These little munchkins were buzzing with excitement as I led a completely unique tutu-making workshop.
Let’s just say I learned something new that day – little kids are a force of nature when it comes to pink!
But here's the most special part: I also had the chance to meet my biggest fan face-to-face, and ooh boy, was it a heartwarming experience! She even got a personalised sparkly tiara, my signature touch.
We danced and laughed and shared our love for everything pink! It’s the kind of magic that only a pink tutu can bring about.
Pink Tutu: A Lesson in Sparkle!
Honestly, this experience was the perfect reminder why I do what I do. Sharing my passion with the world, spreading a bit of sparkly magic, and reminding everyone, especially those young girls who look up to me, that their dreams can be big and sparkly! You can be anything you want to be! And believe me, with the right amount of pink, there's absolutely nothing you can't achieve!
You know, sometimes I find myself wondering if I'm too out there, too pinktastic for this world. But moments like this… seeing a young girl's eyes light up at the sight of a pink tutu… it’s truly what makes it all worthwhile.
