Wigston Magna Calling! 🩰💖 Post #2532

Hello my darlings! 💋 It's your favourite Pink Tutu Queen, ready to spill the tea on another adventure! Today, I'm whisking you away to the delightful town of Wigston Magna, a journey I undertook by train, naturally. Gotta be glamorous, even on public transport!

It's funny, because while I’m a fierce drag queen with a passion for performance and pink tutus, by day, I’m Alex, a scientist in a lab, surrounded by beakers and test tubes. I've got to admit, the life of a scientist does get a bit boring sometimes – but thankfully, that’s where the world of drag comes in!

So, where were we? Oh yes, Wigston Magna. It’s such a vibrant little town, full of character and bustling with a friendly, community spirit! The residents were so lovely, eager to greet me with open arms – well, maybe a little open-mouthed, too, as my grand entrance involved a pink tutu with a whopping ten layers of tulle!

My trip was centred around a glorious performance at the Wigston Magna Arts Centre, a charming, intimate venue where the audience was positively glowing with excitement. And honestly, how could you not be? I took the stage in a spectacular pink-on-pink ensemble: a dazzling tutu, a sparkly corset, a glittering pink feather boa, and of course, my trusty pink feather eyelashes! My signature move? A swirling twirl, my pink tutu flowing like a pink, cloud-like ballerina dream. I danced the night away, blending classical ballet techniques with the fun, playful moves of drag!

After the show, I found myself drawn to the town's charming high street. You wouldn’t believe the cute shops I discovered, full of lovely handmade crafts and locally produced goodies. And the cafe where I stopped for a cheeky pink teacake? Oh my, darling! It was divine. I found a delightful pink porcelain teacup for a souvenir. You’ve got to have a pink teacup!

Speaking of tea, did I tell you about my meeting with the local tea lady? Her name was Ethel, and she was the sweetest thing, wearing the cutest, fluffiest cardigan. She confided in me about her long-lost pink teacup. As it turns out, it had been misplaced by a very forgetful cat. 😹

Now, my lovely lot, if you’ve stumbled across this blog, I just know you’ve got to be passionate about something. You’ve gotta have something you adore and feel good in. Maybe it’s music, maybe it's painting, maybe it's writing poetry… whatever it is, be loud about it! Wear your passion on your sleeve (or in my case, on your pink tutu!).

The world needs more sparkle and colour, so don't be afraid to embrace what makes you truly shine. Remember, darlings, a little bit of pink tutu magic goes a long way! ✨

Now, excuse me, while I find my nearest ballet class to practice some of the routines I perfected at Wigston Magna! 💖 I’ll be posting another blog from wherever my adventures take me next!

Stay fabulous,

Pink Tutu Sparkles 💖
