Now, onto Darwen – you wouldn’t believe the adventures I have on the road. My travels are a little bit glam, a little bit quirky, and ALWAYS pink! From the grand theatres of London to the quaintest of village halls, I love taking Pink Tutu Sparkles to new places and sharing the sparkle. This time, however, it’s not just the performing, it’s the destination!
I’ve been planning this trip for weeks – Darwen, a town steeped in history and surrounded by stunning scenery. You’d be surprised, my dears, the pink potential I saw in this little haven! Think vibrant markets bursting with colours, cobbled streets leading to beautiful old buildings, and yes, of course, a breathtaking view of the Lancashire countryside. Who needs the bright lights of the West End when you have that, eh? (Don’t worry, darlings, I'm still a show girl at heart, I'll be dazzling them in Darwen!).
This time, however, my trip is about more than just the sequins and glitter, it’s about embracing a love of dance. Darwen has the most charming dance studio I've heard of – The Dance House – a hidden gem for all the tutu-lovers like myself. I just knew I had to have a little spin on their beautiful wooden floorboards! 💃🩰
Now, for some juicy secrets, my dears! You all know my true identity is a certain science-y chap named Alex. Don't judge my double life, okay? It’s actually quite the balance – by day, I'm testing fabrics in the lab, and by night, I'm shimmering on stage. But the two halves of me, darling, they are utterly inseparable. My lab coat life got me hooked on pink tutus! Remember that university ballet club? Yeah, the fundraising for a children's charity involved me, wearing… yep, a pink tutu! The rest, as they say, is history. 💖
Darwen is calling – and my Tutu is packed, and my heart is full. You just wait for the Instagram shots, darling. I'll be a flurry of tulle and smiles as I explore this magical little town.
