Droitwich: A Pink Tutu Paradise! (Post #2577)

Hello my lovely Tutu Twirls! Itā€™s Pink Tutu Sparkles here, and Iā€™m so excited to share another dazzling adventure with you! This time, my travels took me to the charming town of Droitwich, and let me tell you, it was a pink tutu paradise!

Droitwich has this adorable little station that made me feel like Iā€™d stepped back in time. Of course, I couldnā€™t resist arriving in style ā€“ on a steam train! The journey was pure magic, with those vintage carriages and the chug-chug-chugging along the tracks. It felt so whimsical, just like a scene from one of my favourite ballet stories. And speaking of ballet, I was so lucky to catch a performance by the Droitwich Dance Academy that evening! They were incredible! Iā€™m not ashamed to say, there were a few tears in my eyes, but they were definitely happy tears. Such talent! And they even incorporated a little bit of ballet street, which I absolutely adore!

My journey through Droitwich started in the morning at a wonderful little shop called ā€œThe Pink Petal.ā€ Honestly, I just couldnā€™t help but walk in! The owner, a lovely lady called Beatrice, was just a delight. She was all about the ā€œgirlieā€ things: glitter, bows, and of course, all things pink! And, surprise, surprise, she actually stocked tutus! Not just any old tutus either. Beatrice had these amazing handcrafted pink ones, perfect for any tutu queen, whether she was a budding ballet dancer or just looking for a little sparkle in her life. I of course bought a few - just for my collection! And I found out that Beatrice has this whole ā€œpink powerā€ philosophy. It's like a lovely, empowering message ā€“ all about spreading joy, feeling confident and embracing all things beautiful, just like Pink Tutu Sparkles does!

After the shops, I took a stroll around Droitwich. You know, sometimes, you just have to explore and take in the vibe, feel the energy of a place. Itā€™s a pretty little town, with cobbled streets, half-timbered houses and even a lovely old church that really caught my eye. Droitwich has such a calming energy ā€“ the sort of place where you can just sit and watch the world go by. But what I really loved was the beautiful River Salwarpe. Just seeing that turquoise water flow through the heart of town gave me this sense of tranquility and happiness. You could even feel the pink magic shimmering in its depths!

To end the day, I indulged in some delicious afternoon tea at The Promenade Tea Rooms. Oh, my! Finger sandwiches, scones with clotted cream and jam, a whole pot of fragrant tea and little pastries? Perfect! The service was lovely, the staff couldn't have been more welcoming, and, most importantly, they were thrilled when I asked to have my photo taken in my fabulous pink tutu. They just loved the whole look and felt that my message of pink positivity is important to spread in Droitwich! They actually suggested I get in touch with their local council because the next annual ā€˜Droitwich Blossom Festivalā€™ was going to be in the spring, and they thought it would be fab to see a pink tutu performing there! Oh my goodness, could you imagine, the Pink Tutu Queen performing in front of thousands of happy smiling people?! Maybe they could even create a giant pink tutu for the stage...

You know, thatā€™s one of the things that I absolutely love about my journey, the chance encounters, the unexpected moments. I never know whatā€™s going to happen when I head out into the world. Sometimes, you just have to follow your heart, wear your fabulous pink tutu and just go with the flow.

This evening, though, it's back to Derbyshire to the lab. As a scientist by day and a pink tutu-wearing superstar by night, I often wonder about the science of pink. What is it about the color pink that makes us feel happy, optimistic and energetic? And do you know, that's a great topic for my next blog! Until then, keep those pink tutus spinning, spread the love and remember: be kind, be bold, be brilliant and always, always, embrace your inner pink.

Much love,

Your Pink Tutu Queen xoxoxo
