Hello darlings, and welcome to my little corner of the internet! It's your gal, Pink Tutu Sparkles, back again for another fabulous blog post. This is post number 2582 for your sweet viewing pleasure. Today's post is all about my recent trip to Birmingham, and let me tell you, it was absolutely divine! I love to explore different cities, especially when I'm going to perform!
The journey, the glamour, the sequins - I can't get enough of it! I'm Pink Tutu Sparkles after all, a diva on the go!
First off, let's talk about how I got there. Now, I'm a big fan of travelling in style, and for this particular trip, I decided to hop on a lovely train. The train was comfy and roomy, so I could spread out all my tulle and my accessories. I might have caused a little stir with the mountain of sequins in my handbag and my flamboyant, oh-so-fabulous, pink feathered hat, but that's just me - bringing a bit of sparkle to every journey! 😉
Birmingham itself is just darling. Full of character and history. I just love walking down those old, cobbled streets. The architecture is so striking. Plus, there are just SO many gorgeous little vintage shops for me to poke about in. You know, finding fabulous items to accessorize my future tutus! I think I even managed to get a pink vintage handbag, perfectly matched with a hot pink boa to adorn my upcoming show at the fair.
Speaking of my performance, I was absolutely chuffed to bits to have been invited to perform at the Birmingham Arts Festival! Now, this was a big deal! I was sharing the stage with some truly incredible talents, and the crowd was simply amazing! The energy was electric!
Of course, I made sure to arrive in the ultimate Pink Tutu Sparkles attire. My latest pink sequin tutu paired with a shimmering silver top - my usual fab combination. And you know I had to make a dramatic entrance! When I popped out from backstage, all the eyes were on me, the audience went wild with applause. They just loved the sparkly hot pink feathers on my brand-new sparkly pink sequined headband! The show went off with a bang! I danced my heart out. My fabulous Pink Tutu dance routine that's my personal signature had them laughing and cheering - and my Pink Tutu dance party made the whole audience stand and twirl! It was such a thrill to see the crowd dancing along, truly enjoying every sparkly move!
After the performance, there was this lovely little cocktail party for all the artists. A whole load of amazing characters, I made some really fabulous new friends!
The next morning, I made sure to catch a performance of "Swan Lake" at the Hippodrome theatre. I was so excited, because it was actually my favourite ballet. The dancers were stunning, so gracefully moving - it was absolutely breathtaking! The costumes were exquisite, too, and of course, I was very happy to spot the pink tutus worn by the ballerinas.
I must say, I felt like a princess being surrounded by all those gorgeous ballet dancers - all twirling and pirouetting in their fluffy white tutus. You know, it all started because I was studying for my science degree - I joined the university's ballet club and had the joy of putting on a pink tutu for a charity event! I fell head over heels for them! And since that moment, it has been my goal to inspire every single one of you to don a fabulous pink tutu and let your inner ballerina sparkle! 💖✨
