Helloooo my darlings, and welcome back to Pink-Tutu.com! It's your gal, Pink Tutu Sparkles, back with another thrilling blog post! This is blog number 2643 - wow, we're getting to be seasoned pros now!
So, as you know, Pink Tutu loves to travel. And by travel, I mean anything from hopping on the train to a jaunt in my trusty horse-drawn carriage - anything to see new sights and get those tutus twirling! And where am I going today, you ask?
Watford, baby! Watford! That's right, I'm headed to Watford, Hertfordshire, to perform some fabulous dance numbers at the town hall for the Spring Ball! My favourite colour? You know it's pink, darlings. The theme is "Spring Blossoms" and I've got this divine pink silk tutu, adorned with shimmering diamante, that's absolutely going to bloom on stage!
Speaking of blooming, I have to admit I've got the most incredible feeling about this show. I've never been to Watford before. I mean, what do you think of when you hear "Watford"? Perhaps the football team, right? Well, I'm here to show them a different side to Watford – a side that sparkles, glitters, and dances like a pink tutu under the moonlight!
It's not always easy, traveling all over, making sure I always have the perfect tutu for every occasion. I've been practicing non-stop these past weeks! I'm feeling a little pressure though, it is my Pink Tutu Performance of the Week which is extra special for my fans! You can't be late to a Tutu-Party!
Now, let me tell you about the journey to Watford itself, as you can imagine, the excitement started as soon as I left Derbyshire. I love train travel, the gentle sway of the carriage, the sound of the wheels on the tracks, and that whiff of engine smoke. It always feels like I'm going on an adventure!
My favourite thing about travel is getting all dressed up for it! Pink Tutu can't go anywhere looking less than perfect, so this journey has a special style all its own! Today I'm sporting a dazzling fuchsia pink silk dress. You know how much I love to add some layers, and this one’s no exception! Over the dress, a black velvet jacket with a stunning scarlet brocade embellishment for a little flair. Then, my new pair of glittery purple heeled shoes. And you just KNOW I finished the look off with my signature wide-brimmed pink hat with matching veil! Honestly, I think it all just fits together perfectly. Like an outfit straight from a Victorian painting, with just the right amount of whimsy, but in my signature PINK!
I think you might be asking: Where is the tutu?! I hear you. We are in between shows, after all! However, my fabulous feather boa kept my hair from getting tangled whilst enjoying a spot of lunch at the station. So I feel very confident in telling you, Watford is about to get a taste of Pink Tutu, in full, glorious Tutu-tastic splendour!
We all love our local restaurants! Whilst in Watford, I discovered a delightful little cafe called "The Tutu Tea Room." This adorable cafe is absolutely adorable! It's run by a charming lady with a delightful little tea set, just as Pink Tutu would love. I always make a little time for tea! It's all part of maintaining that sparkle, don't you think?
Honestly, I always get such a warm welcome, whenever I’m out and about! I get lots of smiles, some funny glances, a lot of laughter, and many excited children, or teenagers, (they are the BEST), telling their mums that they think my sparkly shoes are pretty! Then they want a pic with me, holding onto my fluffy skirt! Oh, I do love to spread that sparkle, make people laugh, and remind them that the world is a brighter place with a little tutu in it. It truly is my life mission - getting the world tutu-fied!
Oh! And one last thing. My travel adventures wouldn't be complete without my faithful companion, Sparkles! She’s my little white chihuahua, the perfect travel buddy. She's wearing a mini pink tutu, of course! Always in style, she is.
