Oh my darlings! It's Pink Tutu Sparkles here, fresh off the train (first-class, naturally) and ready to sprinkle a little pink tutu magic on the lovely town of Rowley Regis! This trip, I'm combining two of my greatest passions – performing and travelling by rail, a truly luxurious combination. I can’t get enough of exploring new places, meeting fabulous folks, and making memories that sparkle like a freshly-pressed sequin.
The journey was truly enchanting, all whizzing past fields of vibrant green and fluffy white clouds skimming the sky. I took a peek out the window, the countryside a kaleidoscope of colours. Did you know, I recently discovered a lovely little shop selling hand-knitted tutus in my favourite shade of pale pink? It’s like stepping into a fairytale!
Speaking of fairytales, tonight’s show is a special one! I'm taking to the stage at the fantastic "Fairytale Follies" cabaret, celebrating all things enchanting and magical. Picture me, a flurry of shimmering pink feathers and tulle, gliding across the stage, belting out a classic showtune with my usual dazzling flair. Don't worry, you won't miss me, the whole venue will be lit up pink!
Speaking of which, the vibrant town of Rowley Regis has such a delightful vintage charm about it! The Victorian architecture makes me feel like I’ve stepped onto a film set! It even boasts a beautiful ballet school, which sparked an immediate desire to head in and have a lesson! What’s a girl like me to do? The whole experience just inspires me, making my creativity dance and whirl!
By day, I’m a rather normal Alex, a humble scientist at a lovely fabric testing lab. (Don't worry, they're all wonderfully supportive of my drag persona – sometimes they even catch me practicing my moves in the lab!) And while I do love experimenting with fabrics (even testing for things like wrinkle resistance and colour fastness – what can I say, my scientist mind never sleeps!), my true passion lies on the stage.
The transformation from Alex to Pink Tutu Sparkles is magic! One minute I’m analyzing yarn for strength, and the next, I’m donning my most extravagant tutu and radiating glitter under the stage lights! But I wouldn’t have it any other way, I love living both sides, the quiet life of a scientist, and the dazzling chaos of a Pink Tutu Sparkles.
