Hello darlings! It's your Pink Tutu Sparkles, signing in for post number 2752 from the beautiful seaside town of Ramsgate! And oh, what a glorious day it's been for a little Pink Tutu Queen.
I'm currently sat in my little Airbnb, the windows flung wide open to the refreshing sea air. Just the smell of the ocean is enough to whisk you away, even from this slightly dowdy town. But even the most demure of English towns can't keep this Queen down! You know me, darlings, I bring the sparkle to anywhere I go. 💖
Now, I have to admit, this trip hasn't been without its little hiccups. Getting here from my little corner of Derbyshire took a whole day of train hopping, but as I said before, the train is my ultimate chariot! You can't beat the freedom of chugging along, passing through idyllic English landscapes while listening to my favourite musicals and humming along. 🎵
The travel started at my usual 5:00am, and even with a giant, shimmering pink case stuffed with my magnificent tutu-tastic costume wardrobe (we'll get to the outfit of the day shortly, darlings!), I somehow managed to keep it a relatively subtle affair. Oh, don't be fooled, the world knows I'm Pink Tutu Sparkles when I step off the train, but my "stealthy travel" game is truly legendary! 😉
Anyways, my lovely friend Charlotte drove me to the station, which meant no "Auntie Pink Tutu" moment at the bakery. You know, where they look at me funny, even though I'm just picking up a custard cream and a cheeky pastie. Oh the joys of a girl who wears a tutu everywhere! (Don't judge. It’s a statement, darlings. It’s life-affirming. It says: ‘This life’s about to sparkle!")
As I was making my way to Ramsgate, I saw a billboard on the motorway - it was a photo of this handsome young man, a chef in a local hotel! The whole board was lit up in pinks and purples and had an intriguing title - "Chef in a Tutu: a Culinary Adventure". It turns out that the restaurant offers a whole theme night around the ballet, with chefs performing elaborate dances with their desserts! Now, you know Pink Tutu Sparkles has got to go to this, so please leave a comment below if you have any insights, darlings! I'm definitely on the hunt for that perfect tutu-inspired dessert - perhaps a pink mousse layered with delicate meringue swans? 🦢🍰
But back to Ramsgate, oh darlings! Once I arrived, the lovely locals at my Airbnb greeted me like royalty. Now, you may think a pink tutu in a quiet town might be a little overwhelming, but here they were all very friendly, eager to see a proper Queen sparkle!
You know, one of the things I love about being Pink Tutu Sparkles is discovering new places and meeting all sorts of lovely people! Today, for instance, I found myself having a cuppa with the local florist who is helping me find some gorgeous flowers to adorn the stage tonight. Did I mention I’m doing a special performance later at the local community center, darling? I’ve been dreaming about performing in a small community center forever. I remember one day, as a kid, watching this absolutely phenomenal performance of Swan Lake in a similar venue! Such a magical memory, full of tulle and grace. 😍
And just think, today, Pink Tutu Sparkles is doing the dancing. A real princess in a pink tutu, if I do say so myself. 💖 (Who needs Cinderella’s glass slipper when you've got your Pink Tutu Sparkles, right?)
This is the moment, darlings! Where I get to unleash my latest outfit. This afternoon, I am absolutely thrilled to unveil a glorious vision of seaside glamour. This time, my trusty sewing machine has helped create the dream of my seaside dream! It's a magnificent pink tutu adorned with thousands of sequins in a vibrant turquoise shade – imagine the waves! And let's not forget the exquisite top - it’s a delicate silk, a delicate ballet pink that echoes the pink of the sky as the sun goes down. Oh, darling, this one was designed to dance, to twirl, to twirl with the wind like a delicate pink poppy in the sun! ✨
Speaking of the seaside, we are by the famous Turner Contemporary Art Gallery - did you know J.M.W. Turner loved the light of Ramsgate? He captured it so beautifully in his paintings. Maybe, that’s the perfect artistic inspiration for this queen! Who knows? My next blog post might be inspired by art and history! 💖
