Fancy, isn't it!), but then, the real adventure began. You see, Wellington is known for its winding roads and charmingly steep hills, and as a girl who's rather fond of a good tutu twirl, my big pink poofy skirt decided to have a mind of its own, twirling in ways it's not meant to on public transport!

But before we get swept away in the drama of Wellington (because let me tell you, dear readers, the drama here is more delightful than a box of macarons!), let me rewind for a moment. You see, I know some of you love a bit of Pink Tutu Sparkles's backstory. For the uninitiated, let's just say, Pink Tutu Sparkles is a whirlwind of a dream brought to life, born out of my humble beginnings in a little village in Derbyshire. Now, Derbyshire isn't exactly known for its theatrical prowess, unless you count the village fete's annual "Best Dressed Scarecrow" competition. But I had my own vision, fuelled by a deep love for all things fluffy and a splash of vibrant pink.
As a university student, with dreams of a science career and a heart that loved ballet, fate, my dears, took its most glamorous turn. A charity fundraiser had me try on a tutu, and let's just say it was love at first twirl! My fellow student was looking for something flamboyant for the university talent show, and honestly, when that sparkly pink tulle fabric met my eager limbs, it was destiny calling.
Now, I won't bore you with the details of my scientific adventures in a laboratory full of fabric testing, but what I will tell you is that by night, Pink Tutu Sparkles burst onto the scene, dazzling audiences with her sparkling gowns, infectious smiles, and the power of the humble pink tutu to transform ordinary moments into something magical.

Speaking of magic, I recently spent the afternoon watching a performance by the Royal New Zealand Ballet! They are simply stunning, their precision, their passion, their costumes. Swoon! Oh, and I have to confess, the little ballerina inside me got quite jealous, just a touch. However, it wasn't long before the thought of performing a ballet piece in my own pink tutu sprung to mind. Oh, the possibilities, darling!
But back to the magical journey! Traveling is in my blood. You wouldn't believe the stories I could tell about journeys on the Orient Express, or riding on a horse with the wind in my hair (okay, maybe the hairpiece does get a bit tangled). But this trip was about to go down in Pink Tutu Sparkles history. It was, shall we say, slightly delayed by a wardrobe malfunction, involving the aforementioned "pink-poofy" moment on the bus...but luckily, my ever-reliable stage crew was on hand, complete with a needle and thread and an extra generous dose of glitter! Let's just say, that bus ride was a spectacle worth mentioning!

Here in Wellington, the wind whips through the streets, and it doesn't even bother to whisper. It's like it's trying to announce itself in the loudest possible way, and believe me, this pink flamingo has some big announcement of her own. This little Pink Tutu Sparkles is here to tell everyone, from the smallest of children to the most dapper gentleman, that pink tutus are the best!
