Hello darlings, it's your favourite pink tutu wearing, sparkle-obsessed queen here, and this is blog post number 2838! Woohoo! Today, I'm channeling some serious seaside vibes, straight from the charming seaside town of Broadstairs, Kent!
Now, you know I love a good train journey. The clatter and clickety-clack of the carriages, the soft, dreamy sway of the landscape zipping past my window – it’s just pure magic. This time, though, I decided to spice things up a bit, and found myself in the rather glorious situation of hiring a handsome horse to take me to the edge of town! Let me tell you, galloping along the coast, with the salty air whipping through my pink tutu, was a moment I won't soon forget. I felt like I was starring in a fairy tale!
Broadstairs itself is just lovely. It’s one of those picture postcard towns – think charming Victorian terraces, quaint little shops bursting with colour, and the most adorable, pebble-filled beach. As soon as I arrived, I knew I was going to feel right at home. There’s an undeniable sparkle in the air, which, of course, perfectly matches my personal brand of enchantment! 💖✨
The highlight of my trip? A most divine ballet performance! I love going to see ballet – it’s such an elegant, graceful art form, and those costumes, oh my! My favourite moment was when a whole troop of dancers waltzed on stage in tutus – absolutely magnificent! But then, my darling readers, you know how I feel about tutus, right? 😜 It inspired me to have a proper dance on the promenade myself – nothing makes a pink tutu sparkle quite like a bit of impromptu, beachfront pirouette!
I found myself surrounded by an array of fabulous, vibrant shops, just begging me to browse! Let’s be honest, what queen doesn't love a good browse? It's just about the most fulfilling thing, after performing on stage, of course! I picked up a pair of adorable, vintage-style, glittery glasses, which look divine with my signature pink eye shadow, and some fabulous floral print trousers, which I plan to pair with my pinkest, most shimmering tutu for a truly eye-catching look!
This seaside getaway has truly recharged my sparkly batteries! I left Broadstairs feeling inspired, brimming with new ideas, and with my heart full of pink tutu dreams. But hey, I think the world could definitely do with more pink tutu dreams, don’t you agree?

Hi, I'm Alex. By day, you can find me in my lab, surrounded by bubbling test tubes and bubbling fabrics. I'm a scientist, yes, a scientist! It’s funny, though, because sometimes I feel like the only thing I test is the sheer strength of my pink tutus against a good, vigorous dance move! 😂
You see, before becoming the glamorous queen I am today, I was just a regular student from Derbyshire. And although science and its complexities fascinated me, it didn't quite satisfy the sparkly, expressive part of me. Then, one day, while volunteering for a university charity event, I slipped into a pink tutu. Now, don't get me wrong, it wasn't exactly the kind of costume that was part of the "usual" lab attire, but as soon as I felt that tulle twirling around my legs, I knew this was where my heart was! From that moment, I knew I had to make tutu dreams a reality,
So here I am, living my dream life – by day, fabric analysis, by night, shimmering stages, dancing my heart out. As Pink Tutu Sparkles, I've discovered that there’s a magical world out there just waiting for everyone to join in the fun. The world is my stage, every town, city, village, park, is an opportunity to bring a touch of pink tutu sparkle, and my ambition? To get everyone dancing, twirling, and celebrating their unique selves. All I need is a little pink tulle to make it happen!
