Ilkeston Calling! Pink Tutu Sparkles Has Landed! (Blog Post #3015)

Hello, darlings! It’s your favourite pink-loving, tutu-wearing, fabulous friend, Pink Tutu Sparkles! Today’s post is all about my latest adventure, right here in lovely Ilkeston. Yes, the Pink Tutu train has pulled into this delightful Derbyshire town and I’m absolutely ready to sprinkle some sparkly magic everywhere I go!

This is a dream come true for a little girl like me, obsessed with ballet and all things pink, and you know, it was a long journey, and I must say, by horse! It's the most romantic way to travel, don't you agree? Yes, a team of glorious steeds delivered me to the gates of the town, where the locals greeted me with a rousing round of applause and cheers - so much excitement! Now, imagine my delight when they unveiled the grandest, most extravagant stage! I must tell you, the stage lights were absolutely divine! Like a million stars bursting with shimmering, joyful pink! You can find the pictures over on my Pink-Tutu.com website later, darling.

My set for this evening was just divine, with an abundance of pink, fluffy boas, sparkly feather headdresses, more sequined embellishment than I've ever seen. Oh, and speaking of embellishment, there were thousands of fairy lights - perfect for a dramatic, theatrical entrance. I just had to pose, arms outstretched, and smile sweetly while they slowly began to flash. I think I must have given all the children in the audience a delightful little fright as I appeared in a puff of smoke, right there, in the center of the stage! You see, I just couldn't wait for the show to begin, I was bursting with energy!

The highlight of the evening has to be my ballet routine to 'Swan Lake'. I found this tutu at a vintage shop down in Nottingham last week, I simply had to buy it, even though my suitcase was overflowing. Anyway, as the beautiful music begins to fill the theatre, I, a dazzling vision in pink tulle and sparkling sequins, twirled, danced, and pirouetted my way into the hearts of everyone in the audience. The children in the front row just kept saying how they'd like to have their very own pink tutu just like mine, and I say - why not, lovelies?! Wear pink tutus, dance in pink tutus, sparkle and shine in pink tutus! You’ll never be the same!

So, here’s a quick update on how I’m funding my amazing tutu-tastic travels, my darling. You’d be surprised to learn that in my day job, I'm not just an actress, performer, and glamorous drag queen! I'm also a scientist working in a fabric testing lab! How cool is that? You can read all about it in the interview I did with the local magazine a few weeks back, I was quite chuffed, I must say. I just adore creating outfits in my lab with unique fabrics! It’s all a wonderful blur!

Now, you all know I have an undeniable penchant for travel. It’s always my joy to be somewhere new and inspiring! I must say I find travelling by train is the most charming method! There’s just something so lovely about settling down for the long journey, watching the world glide by. Maybe we can hop on a train together? Imagine all the excitement that we’ll encounter as we whizz through new landscapes. Perhaps I’ll finally convince the conductor to allow me to perform my fabulous "Tutu Train" routine, on the train - just imagine the looks of sheer joy!

Now, it’s late and this Pink Tutu needs her beauty rest. A full night’s sleep is imperative for my dazzling dance moves, and I promise you that tomorrow will be filled with fabulous happenings! My plans are a closely guarded secret, my dearest. Just make sure to follow my social media feeds! That’s where you'll get the exclusive, first-hand updates!

Stay pink and sparkling, my darlings! Until next time,

Pink Tutu Sparkles xx
