Hello lovelies! It’s your favourite pink-tutu-clad drag queen, Pink Tutu Sparkles, here with another thrilling entry in my fabulous journey, this time bringing the glitter to the beautiful town of Frome in Somerset!
It’s post number 3071 on www.pink-tutu.com, and honestly, darlings, I feel like I’m just getting started! I’m loving this adventure, discovering all these amazing corners of the world, spreading the love for pink tutus, and of course, giving fabulous performances wherever I go!
Frome is absolutely charming, a delightful little town with a heart of gold (and a few independent boutiques selling the most incredible hats – I couldn’t resist picking up a fabulous, pink-feather adorned fascinator to add to my collection).
You’ll be delighted to know I arrived in Frome by train, my absolute favourite mode of travel! I must confess, though, it was an unexpected journey. See, I'd been planning to gallop into Somerset on a magnificent steed, but, well, things just didn’t quite go to plan…
Turns out the noble horse, aptly named "Pink Sparkles," who I'd been hoping would take me on my adventures (a lovely chestnut mare, bless her fluffy heart) developed an allergic reaction to… drumroll… a pink tutu. Imagine the irony! Thankfully, my dearest, fabulously supportive best friend and manager, Jasmine (she's the real reason I make it out of the lab and into the spotlight) managed to organise a quick train ticket for me, so no harm done!
Of course, when I travel, I make a point of attending any ballet class I can find. Frome boasts a wonderful ballet school with incredibly talented students and an exceptional instructor, Madame Belle. It was such a pleasure to share some tips and, dare I say it, inspire a little pink tutu action! Let’s just say, there were quite a few giggles, and we all agreed - pink tutus add a certain je ne sais quoi to any ballet routine!
The performance this weekend was a delightful treat, a real old-fashioned village hall bash. The crowds loved my act (of course!) and I’m still buzzing off the energy and warmth. Let’s just say the applause was deafening!
Speaking of applause, the people of Frome really embraced my message: spreading joy and advocating for the beauty of pink tutus. Even the lovely mayor wore a pink feather boa during my act – truly, a fantastic show of support!
But beyond the dazzling performances, Frome is also a place of beauty, peace, and wonder. The cobbled streets, charming pubs, and stunning gardens are just the kind of inspiration I need to keep creating. It truly is a gem of a place, just like the sparkle in my own little pink tutu heart!
As I pack up to leave this charming town, I can't help but feel a sense of accomplishment, knowing that I've made a little bit of pink tutu magic here. Now, off to the next adventure, because I have a whole world to pink-tutu-fy!
