Consett Calling: Pink Tutu Sparkles Takes on the North East! 🩰💖

Hey darlings! It’s your girl Pink Tutu Sparkles, back with another dazzling post from the world of fabulousness. This is number 3084 for those counting at home, and boy oh boy, you won’t believe where I’ve been this time!

Let me tell you, darlings, I’ve had my head in the clouds all week, not just from the stunning skies of my beloved Derbyshire, but also from the excitement of venturing further afield. I’ve packed my signature pink sequins, a new set of tutu tulle, and enough glitter to sparkle a small constellation (a girl's gotta be prepared!) because today, my dears, we’re taking a trip to Consett!

Now, I’ll be honest, I know Consett more for its stunning industrial history and for its thriving independent scene, but when I received an invitation to perform at the annual "Twirl and Twinkle" fair, how could I resist? Honestly, I wouldn't miss a chance to spread the joy of tutus, and a whole fair dedicated to twirling? It's like it was tailor-made for this Pink Tutu queen!

So, naturally, I made my grand entrance into Consett the way every true diva does: via the railway! Nothing says "fabulousness" like a train journey adorned in pink feathers, and trust me, the other passengers were positively mesmerised. The kids especially! They had the biggest smiles as I pranced through the station. You can imagine my delight in teaching them some twirls on the platform!

Arriving at the fairgrounds, it was all go. From street entertainers, to stalls showcasing local crafts, and the tantalizing smells of freshly-cooked goodies, the atmosphere was buzzing! I loved seeing so many families out, laughing, enjoying themselves, and oh, there were some amazing, creative stalls selling beautiful things! Of course, I did a little bit of shopping myself, discovering a fabulous new supplier of sequins and feathers - watch out for my new act in a couple of weeks, I'll be using those gorgeous gems.

Now, for the grand finale - the stage! It was all pink and glitter (what else would it be for a Pink Tutu Sparkles performance?) and the crowd were buzzing for me. They even knew some of my signature moves! We had such a lovely time together, laughing, dancing, and twirling under the twinkling fairy lights. It really felt like everyone embraced the joy of pink tutus. Some even got up and joined in - even the kids in their little tutus! (Isn't that the cutest?)

Honestly, I felt like a queen, a tutu queen, reigning over a land of sparkles and sunshine, spreading joy with every flick of my tutu! I absolutely loved meeting all the wonderful people of Consett - the town, the locals, everyone was so warm and friendly, I can't wait to come back for a return engagement!

You know what, darlings? This experience made me realise just how important it is to bring the joy of pink tutus to the world. It’s not just about the colour or the fashion, it’s about the fun, the laughter, and the sense of community it creates. A tutu can empower you, it can bring a smile to anyone's face. And I will continue to share that magic wherever I go!

Until next time, keep it pink and keep it sparkly, my loves! 💖🩰

And that's a wrap on my adventure to Consett!
