Well, today’s adventure takes me to the wonderful town of Hindley! 🚄 I'm absolutely thrilled to be sharing my sparkle with a new audience. I'm a little sad I couldn't take my trusty steed, Horace, on the train with me, but hey, who needs a horse when you have a fabulous pink tutu and a day full of smiles?
Let’s rewind to how I got here. rewind rewind rewind ⏪ You know how much I love to travel by train - the plush red seats, the gentle clinking of glasses in the buffet car, and the mesmerising views of the countryside… it's all just so charming. As the train zoomed through the charming green fields of Derbyshire (my home sweet home!) I couldn't stop dreaming of my next fabulous performance in Hindley.
I must tell you about this week’s new tutu creation - a soft, flowing, pink ombre masterpiece with little sparkling sequins on the hem. You haven't seen pink like this! It's almost like a magical shimmery unicorn threw up glitter all over a cloud of blush-tinted cotton candy… I can't even! My seamstress, Daphne (an absolute gem, let me tell you!), helped me create the perfect layers and frills - it’s practically floating on its own!
You can't talk about a new tutu without a new dance routine, right? So, I've been perfecting a whimsical ballet-inspired piece to go with this pink wonder. We’re talking twirls, leaps, and grand jetés, all sprinkled with just the right amount of flamboyant fun! You wouldn't believe how hard it is to do the splits while wearing a pink tutu, but I managed it!
You may be wondering, dear reader, how I can afford to travel all over the country. Well, let’s just say that this scientist by day, drag queen by night is working that stage! My lab coat gets a little lonely sometimes, but the adoring cheers from my audience, the sound of the crowd chanting “Pink Tutu Sparkles! Pink Tutu Sparkles!” always fill my heart with joy. I perform in clubs, at festivals, even the odd local fair… wherever a crowd can be found, a pink tutu can shine!
Before I dive into the heart of Hindley and my performance tonight, I’ve got to share some fun! I'm always on the lookout for the perfect pink accessory, and yesterday in the bustling shops of Manchester, I stumbled across a fabulous pink feathered hat - pink with purple glitter stripes, I nearly screamed! You bet I’ll be rocking it on stage in Hindley!
Anyway, I better wrap this up. The crowds are gathering, and my sparkly makeup is just about ready. This little pink tutu queen is off to enchant Hindley with a touch of glitz and grace!
