This is my very first time visiting Brighton, and let me tell you, it's everything I dreamed it would be! So much colour, so much vibrancy, so much…well, pink, of course! 💖
This trip is all about combining my love for ballet with my passion for pink tutus and, of course, my endless craving for fabulous fashion. Let's just say, Brighton's definitely ticked all the boxes on my sparkle-filled checklist.
First things first, let me tell you all about my epic journey to Brighton! 🚂
I always prefer to travel by train whenever possible. It's so much more glamorous and civilised than flying! Imagine, sipping tea while the English countryside whizzes past your window, surrounded by beautiful landscapes and perhaps even a friendly chat with a fellow passenger. This train ride was no exception. I was lucky enough to meet a lovely couple on my way down, a real life fairy tale duo named Penelope and Henry. They were utterly charmed by my Pink Tutu Sparkles attire (as always!) and we spent hours chatting about everything from vintage fashion to the joys of baking! 🥰
Arriving in Brighton was like stepping into a whimsical dreamland. The Victorian architecture is so beautiful, the air is filled with the joyous laughter of tourists, and the entire place is awash with a wonderful energy. You can literally feel the passion for creativity bursting out of every street corner.
Speaking of creativity, I couldn’t resist booking a ticket to see the Brighton Royal Pavilion. I’ve always loved this magnificent palace - all those turrets, balconies and of course, its rich history, but this was my first visit! And darling, let me tell you, it was nothing short of a fairy tale experience! ✨
As a Tutu Queen, a visit to the Brighton Theatre Royal is, of course, an absolute MUST! 🤩 You see, this legendary theater is famous for hosting world-renowned ballet performances, and I just couldn't leave without catching a glimpse of this artistic masterpiece.
So, I popped in for a peek at a performance of Swan Lake and was simply enchanted. 🦢 The graceful ballerinas, the stunning costumes, the hauntingly beautiful music – it was sheer perfection. I nearly started doing some spins and pirouettes in the back row myself. Almost, but I had to be on my best behaviour! 😂
The next morning, I took my inner-ballerina for a little spin with a spot of ballet class. 🩰 Yes, you heard me right! Brighton has a fantastic dance school tucked away in a quiet alleyway called “Ballerina Bliss.” Just hearing that name made my heart skip a beat.
The studio was an explosion of pastel pink, lilac, and sunshine yellow, and every inch was filled with balerinas from all ages, shapes, and sizes. They were absolutely stunning in their delicate leotards and matching tutus, with those sleek ponytails tied neatly.
Honestly, just stepping into that studio felt like walking into my very own pink tutu dream world!
I spent the entire class bouncing between barre and centre stage, learning the graceful art of arabesque and relevé. After all, every Tutu Queen needs to stay sharp on their moves!
That evening, I decided to explore the charming boutiques and hidden corners of Brighton’s Lanes. You've never seen so many independent shops selling unique pieces. From quirky vintage clothing to the most adorable handcrafted jewellery, there was something for every taste!
I of course made sure to find myself a lovely little pink tutu that I will proudly wear during one of my future shows! It's a gorgeous confection of shimmering pink silk, with a soft, flowing design that perfectly captures Brighton's bohemian spirit. And it just wouldn't do to leave Brighton without adding to my Tutu Queen collection, right? ✨
Oh, and you won't believe who I bumped into at the Brighton Pavilion Gardens while enjoying some fish and chips. It was none other than Miss Betty Boop herself! She's got such incredible energy, just a beautiful little whirlwind of fun and style. I even convinced her to twirl with me in the beautiful Pavilion Gardens while wearing her brand new sparkly pink tutu, gifted by your very own Tutu Queen! ✨
Oh, speaking of "your very own Tutu Queen," I have a fabulous treat for all you beautiful Tutu fans out there! 🎊
I’m organising a “Pink Tutu Party” at the Brighton Dome next month and I’d love for all you gorgeous ladies and gentlemen to join me. Come ready to dance the night away, sparkle under the glitter ball and, most importantly, flaunt your fabulously pink tutus. I know it will be an evening filled with joy, laughter, and plenty of dancing with beautiful fellow tutu wearers! 💖
