Hey lovelies! It’s Pink Tutu Sparkles here, and you know what? Today’s post is all about my recent trip to the fabulous town of Rochdale! As some of you know, this sparkly queen is a big fan of travel. There's nothing quite like the thrill of the unknown, whether I'm gliding through the countryside on a horse-drawn carriage or chugging along on a steam train! But this time, it was all about Rochdale, a beautiful little town with a surprising big heart - and plenty of space for me to prance around in my Pink Tutu goodness! 💖
You know, the journey was just as fun as the destination! It took me about three hours on the train from my Derbyshire base. It's one of those gorgeous little steam trains too, which adds that little touch of romance. Don't you love the nostalgic feeling of clattering along those tracks? It really makes you feel like you're entering a magical world! 🚂✨
Anyway, enough about the journey - let's talk about Rochdale! This is a town that has seriously got it going on! The cobblestone streets, the quirky independent shops - it's all so charming! It's honestly one of the cutest towns I've visited! I was literally buzzing with excitement. And I'll tell you a secret, darlings: they've got the most amazing tea rooms! Just the thing after a day of twirling in my Tutu! 😉 ☕️
And of course, where there’s a town, there's gotta be some sequins and feathers, right?! I had my first performance in a lovely little venue, called 'The Rochdale Rendezvous', nestled amongst the streets. It was the most perfect little theatre you could imagine, so intimate and filled with such kind, welcoming souls! They just love their sequins, and even got me a backstage dressing room fit for a pink-tutu wearing queen! I'm always getting such incredible support, I don't know what I'd do without all my fabulous fans. 💖
The set was decorated in all shades of pink, with a shimmering stage backdrop that gave a real royal vibe. And guess what? I decided to put my signature touch to this performance and added some tulle in a dazzling pink ombre - like a symphony of the color of love! 😍✨
After my show, it was off to a fabulous restaurant - you won't believe the names they gave their dishes! 'The Rochdale Rumble', 'The Sparkly Swirl' - I had a fabulous time just giggling and reading through the menu. The food was amazing too, so don't even get me started on their 'Pink Flamingo Parfait'! It was almost too cute to eat, almost. 🦩
But honestly, Rochdale wasn’t all about glitz and glam. The people were amazing - I swear they were all in love with their town, I’m definitely a fan now too. The sense of community and their friendly vibes just radiated through every cobblestone and little shop. It truly is the kind of place where people take the time to talk, to smile, to share a good time - a real change from my London adventures. ❤️
Anyway, let's talk outfits, because it wouldn't be Pink Tutu Sparkles without an entire ensemble for you lovely lot to drool over, right?! 😜 I had to go all out in Rochdale, because it was all about making a grand entrance! So, for my performance, I whipped up a multi-layered, rainbow-coloured tutu - every colour you can imagine! It was made of gossamer-thin fabric and twirled around like a perfect pink candy floss explosion. I paired it with a gorgeous corset, which hugged my waist, and covered it with tiny, shimmering gemstones, and finished the look off with my custom-made hot-pink stilettos that just sparkled in the spotlight. You know how I like a shoe with some serious sparkle! 💖👠
For the restaurant, I ditched the corset and slipped into something a bit more elegant - a shimmering rose gold silk dress! And to make it even more fabulously pink, I put a massive rose-shaped brooch right smack dab in the centre - because there’s no such thing as too much pink, babes! It’s the only rule of fashion that truly counts. 💗
And for the day, well, let's just say I had my pink tutu ready for a little wander around the town! I even managed to pick up a little souvenir at the town's local craft market! 🎁 It's a small, beautiful pink glass flower that I plan to keep right next to my other trinkets - because let's face it, nothing quite says 'Rochdale' like a gorgeous pink bauble! ✨
