Pink Power in the City of Lights ✨
The train journey from Paris to Lyon was pure magic! 🚂 The countryside whizzed past in a blur of green fields and quaint villages, and I, of course, was a vision in pink! My newest tulle creation, a hot pink number with a sprinkle of glitter and a matching fascinator, turned heads all the way to the station. Even the train conductor gave me a knowing wink and a thumbs-up! He clearly knew a star when he saw one!
From Laboratory to Le Grand Theatre 🔬🩰
Today, I'm trading my lab coat for a tutu, my test tubes for tiaras, and my microscope for a mic! After all, being a drag artist means wearing many hats, literally and metaphorically! You see, by day, I'm a scientist, working on cutting-edge fabric technology in a lab. By night, I transform into Pink Tutu Sparkles, bringing joy and glitter to the world one dance move at a time. And guess what? Both jobs involve an awful lot of pink! 😉
This whole Pink Tutu Sparkles thing began a few years back while I was studying science at uni. My life, let's be honest, was all white lab coats, beakers, and spreadsheets until one day I dared to venture into the world of ballet! 🩰 You see, my dear readers, my heart had always longed for the world of twirling and leaps, of delicate fabrics and dazzling costumes. And I knew there was no better way to express my love for dance and colour than by joining the uni's ballet club.
That's where I met the pink tutu, the single, most dazzling garment I had ever laid eyes upon. It was for a charity fundraiser, a magnificent swirl of pink feathers and frills. As soon as I stepped into it, a feeling of sheer joy and pure liberation swept over me! I knew in that moment that Pink Tutu Sparkles had arrived!

Back to Lyon! It's been an absolutely magical adventure so far, with charming cobblestone streets, beautiful architecture, and even more beautiful people! Oh, and did I mention the croissants? chefs kiss Absolutely divine!
Today's agenda includes a visit to the spectacular Grand Theatre de Lyon. Can you imagine the possibilities? I've got my sights set on seeing the most incredible ballet performance this city has to offer, and, of course, wearing my most dazzling pink tutu for the occasion.
Pink is the New Black (Don't Fight It!) 🌈
After years of being told "pink is for girls" and that it's "too girly" or "too childish" I say "Nonsense!" 💖 I believe that pink is for everyone! It’s bold, it's joyful, it’s a celebration of all things feminine and fabulous! I even believe pink has superpowers. One pink tutu at a time, I'm trying to change the world, and spread joy and sparkle across the globe.
As I write this blog, I’m sitting in the most adorable little tea shop in Lyon. I'm surrounded by dainty china cups, delicious pastries, and, you guessed it, pink everywhere! The tablecloth, the curtains, even the teacups are pink! It’s a haven for any true pink aficionado! The delightful owner just brought me a glass of framboise lemonade with a pink heart-shaped straw – you couldn't have asked for a better welcome in Lyon!
