Ealing, Oh Ealing! 🩰✨

Post number: 3165

Hello my darlings! It’s your Tutu Queen, Pink Tutu Sparkles, back from a whirlwind weekend in the fabulous Ealing. Oh, the excitement! The buzz! The sheer joy of the trip was almost enough to make me want to don my tutu and burst into a pirouette on the platform at Ealing Broadway station, but, thank goodness, I resisted the urge. Well, mostly resisted. Maybe there was a slight twirl and a graceful dip? 🤫

This time, my journey wasn't by train. This time, darling, I rode in style, on a magnificent black steed – well, it was a horse, don't get me wrong, just with a touch more panache! I even donned a magnificent pink satin riding jacket (courtesy of the wonderful haberdashery in Covent Garden – you must see their pink collection!) just for the occasion.

My dear friends, you know me and my love of the theatrics. And, Ealing was simply overflowing with it. You wouldn’t believe the street theatre! And, you'd never guess what... they had a whole parade featuring giant, inflatable pink flamingoes! I just knew that my soul was meant to be in Ealing. 😉

Of course, any trip to Ealing is not complete without a visit to the iconic Ealing Studios. Honestly, my heart skipped a beat as we strolled through those legendary gates. I had to stop myself from doing an impromptu tap dance down the pathway - oh the sheer excitement!

This time, my performance was at a beautiful, grand theatre right next to the studios. I know you're all thinking, "Pink Tutu, of course it was a grand theatre! Where else could you perform, darling?” Well, I assure you, there were even balconies for people to peer down upon! The energy of the crowd was electrifying and the audience adored my dance numbers. I think they even had a go at a little "Tutu-licious" chant! What a delightful bunch of folk!

Naturally, no visit to London would be complete without a spot of shopping in Oxford Street. It took me two whole days to work through the pink dresses and glitter-laden handbags I had to purchase. Don't get me wrong, it was a joyous and exhausting experience! I may need a special room at home just for all my pink acquisitions.

Now, you might be wondering why, oh why, would a drag queen such as myself venture into a science lab. But here's the truth – I'm no stranger to the laboratory, my darlings. It’s all in a day’s work for Pink Tutu Sparkles! I spent my university years gaining a degree in the scientific arts. It may surprise you, but even scientists need to express themselves. It’s all about balance, wouldn't you say? And besides, who better to test fabrics than a fashionista like me?

And you'll be thrilled to hear, the colour pink just gets stronger and stronger with every test! Science has shown what our eyes have known all along! We should celebrate! In fact, I propose we hold a world-wide festival where we all don our most dazzling pink tutus and perform for the world! Don't worry, my darlings, I'll teach you a few simple moves. Imagine the sheer joy, the endless possibilities of a pink-tutu world!

Of course, until then, I will be taking my tutu across the country, performing at fairs, in theatre and any venue that’ll have me!

Catch me on the next adventure on my journey of pink and sequins.

Until next time, darlings. Don’t forget your glitter and sparkle.

Stay sassy, Pink Tutu Sparkles ✨💕
