Hello my lovelies! It’s your favourite pink tutu-clad, sparkle-loving, dance-aholic, Pink Tutu Sparkles here, signing in from the absolutely delightful Guiseley!
You know, some people think it's strange - me travelling the country in a pink tutu. "Alex, why?", they ask. "Aren't you worried about looking silly?" Well, darlings, to be perfectly honest, silly is my middle name! I embrace the unconventional, and believe that life's too short for dull colours and boring clothes. So, yes, I’m off on a whirlwind tour, spreading my love for all things pink and fabulous, and, of course, sharing my passion for tutus with the world, one fluffy feather at a time.
This week, my sparkly adventure brought me to the charming town of Guiseley. Oh my, you know I've gotta get some outfit inspo right? Guiseley’s cobbled streets, quirky boutiques, and traditional pubs made it a treasure trove of visual delight for me. And yes, you guessed it, it's always time for new outfit and shoes, you’re looking at new pink tulle! Oh and did I mention a new sparkly, crystal covered belt? giggles
Guiseley has this unique charm, nestled amidst lush greenery. As I explored the shops and stumbled upon the most amazing vintage dress, you wouldn’t believe this, it even has the same shade of pink as my tutu, so I bought it, obviously! But darling, you’ll have to wait and see what I make of it, but let me tell you, this town has so much history to soak up. It's been a real inspiration, not to mention a perfect opportunity to snag some killer new threads! I mean, you're looking at a girl who can make even the plainest dress sparkle! You have to have the right sparkly belt or fabulous handbag! It’s not about hiding the sparkle, it's about sharing it!
As for me, I wasn’t here for shopping alone though I can't be blamed for being a little bit smitten with Guiseley's unique vintage treasures! I am on a quest, and what’s that you ask? Well, to get the whole wide world in pink tutus of course! Because every day is a celebration, and what better way to celebrate life than in a fluffy, swishy, pink masterpiece?!
I even braved the stage of the local theatre, well actually a hall really, the venue had a rather rustic, yet intimate charm about it. Let’s just say I was channeling the ballerina princess vibes and, yes I had an audience! Oh and they LOVED my new sparkly, glitzy outfit. I performed ‘Dancing on the Ceiling’ as a tribute to the queen of pop herself! We're talking classic disco moves with a modern twist, you know the kind of performance that's just begging for a glittery crown to complete the picture. Oh, don’t you just love a flash of pink in a sea of people! I know I do! I feel like I’m lighting up the stage, sharing the love for the finer things in life and of course that means glitter and glamor!
Now, it wasn’t all sparkles and champagne here in Guiseley. It's amazing, I found some delicious treats and real bargains in this quirky little town! Who'd have thought I'd find the perfect lavender and blueberry cake in a small village? I’m a bit of a foodie, it's one of my indulgences. Well it was definitely a good time, with lots of fun and a fair bit of laughter along the way.
Before I sign off for today, I'm bursting to share a bit about my travels. Oh, Guiseley was a blast! I arrived here by train, a glorious journey through the countryside with a glimpse of some of the most incredible views, and not forgetting a nice cuppa in the lovely cafe on the train! Yes, darling I do enjoy the finer things! Now I’ve a great sense of anticipation and a plan for the next bit of my travels, as I get ready to explore another town with my pink tutu.
