Hampstead - Tutu-ing around Town! ✨🩰

Hello, darling darlings! It’s Pink Tutu Sparkles here, ready to take you on another dazzling journey. Today's post is a little special, number 3240 for my little Pink-Tutu.com blog, and I'm thrilled to be bringing you all the glam from my recent trip to Hampstead.

Now, I'm sure you've all heard of this chic, sophisticated area of London, right? It's famous for its rolling hills, leafy avenues, and of course, the delightful Hampstead Heath! But don't you worry, I haven't gone all nature-lover on you, this girly girl is still all about the sparkles and tulle!

My journey to Hampstead began with a magical train ride from Derbyshire. The carriage was a delight, spacious and bright with soft pink lighting - truly a testament to the power of pink. My luggage? Well, let’s just say it took more than a few trips to the platform – all my outfits, you see! I had a show in Hampstead at a fabulous little theatre on the high street. They called me up a few weeks back to grace the stage with my fabulous act!

As soon as the train pulled into King’s Cross Station, the air buzzed with a delightful, energetic vibe, like everyone was on their way to a fabulously secret party. Of course, a queen like me had to channel those good vibes – imagine me sashay-ing across the station platform, shimmering in my hot pink sequin jacket and tutu. I even added some bright pink bows to my pigtails. You see, it’s not all about pink tutus, sometimes, you’ve got to dress like the pink dream!

My journey into Hampstead was even more wonderful – imagine cobbled streets and rows of beautifully crafted Victorian buildings, each one holding a secret little fairytale, you just had to tap the door and discover it! And then there was the Heath! Green, green, green and such delicious fresh air, perfect for a queen to enjoy before getting ready to dazzle everyone with a stunning dance number.

This weekend, the Heath had this marvelous annual horse show going on! It was such a treat – think beautiful horses, majestic riders, and of course, tons of delicious food. The little stalls, oh my goodness! And what’s better than fresh fruit, chocolate, and pink lemonade on a balmy autumn afternoon? Honestly, it's just perfection! I even managed to take a spin on one of the beautifully decorated horse-drawn carriages. Did I tell you my love for horses and carriages is legendary?

But enough about me - back to the shows!

After a quick, oh-so-glamorous little wardrobe change – don't worry, my beloved pink tulle dress had plenty of pink bows and feathers, naturally! – it was showtime! My heart pounded as I entered the beautiful old theatre – so much history within these walls! And then there I was, on stage, under those spotlights. The stage, it is my canvas and my playground, where I can really let my Pink Tutu Sparkles flag fly! And fly I did – you just wait until I tell you about the choreography I created! We even had a tiny ballet dancer in the audience - little Charlotte! We made eye contact, and she even did a cute little curtsey to my bow. Oh, she will grow up to be a stunning dancer, I’m sure. I feel so incredibly proud of these young dancers who are stepping into the magical world of ballet.

But back to my act! Let’s just say it was truly captivating - full of twirling, soaring, and, of course, glitter! The audience erupted in thunderous applause, and I just beamed, basking in the love and appreciation. I truly believe in the power of the pink tutu, that it brings joy, laughter, and most importantly, the sheer power of self-expression. Even the older gentlemen were giggling and smiling!

Oh, darling, if you think that's all the magic of Hampstead, well, you’d be mistaken, love! After my fantastic performance, we took a walk to the local ice cream shop, "The Ice Creamery". And of course, I had a delightful raspberry and cream scoop, the very epitome of girly delights! I even met a very kind gentleman with the most fabulous collection of old costume jewelry! And I can’t resist a touch of sparkle in my life. Honestly, you wouldn’t believe how many sequins I discovered amongst those vintage gems. We all share that love of glamour, you see!

Later that evening, my day trip came to an end. I boarded my beloved train home, tired but brimming with the happy memories of Hampstead. As the train pulled away from the station, I glanced back at the town. In the setting sun, Hampstead seemed like a fairytale scene painted across the sky. And I’m sure I left some of my magic here.

Oh, I have so many new plans – all in the name of Pink Tutu Sparkles! Maybe a little Pink Tutu pop-up shop? An evening dance party under the stars? Maybe even a full ballet class. I truly believe we can all have fun with the idea of tutus! We all deserve a little touch of pink sparkle and twirling in our lives!
