Hello lovelies! It’s your favourite pink-tutu-wearing, glitter-bomb-loving drag queen, Pink Tutu Sparkles here! Today, I’m serving you a full-on railway royale look – because I’m heading to Hanwell! That’s right, darlings, I’m riding the rails for this next adventure. The chuffing excitement is building! 🚂💨
It's all thanks to a lovely invitation from the Hanwell Village Fair. I love being able to bring my little bit of pink-tutu-sparkle-fabulous to local events like this. You never know who I'll inspire to ditch their boring clothes and embrace their inner fabulousness! (Pink tutus for everyone!) 💖✨
My train journey to Hanwell was such a fun adventure. It gave me plenty of time to put together a new look for the show – after all, a fabulous queen is always prepared. Let me tell you, darlings, this one is going to be a showstopper. I'm keeping the exact outfit under wraps for now, but trust me – think feathers, glitter, and maybe a splash of something you wouldn't expect! 😉
As usual, my luggage is overflowing with my signature pink tutus! They take up so much space but let’s face it, it’s impossible for me to leave the house without a few spares. You never know when someone needs a little pink-tutu magic to brighten their day, or when a sudden performance opportunity pops up! 😄
One thing I adore about train travel is watching the countryside roll by – the changing landscape is a fantastic source of inspiration for new dance moves. The colours are a masterpiece in themselves! They inspire the colours I’ll use for my make-up or even the themes for new performances. Speaking of performances… have I mentioned the amazing act I’ve put together for the fair? It’s a combination of sassy burlesque and contemporary ballet, all set to a dazzling blend of pop anthems and classical music. The choreography is simply divine! 😍
Let's talk outfits, shall we? I’ve got an entire suitcase dedicated to my costume choices. It's a kaleidoscope of textures, feathers, sparkles, and sequins. A true pink-tutu dream! Each outfit has to be just as unique and fabulous as the last.
Remember how I told you I have this day job as a scientist? Well, let me tell you – my work is an inspiration to my stage outfits. Working with different fabrics – researching texture, drape, colour, light – has totally helped me build an eye for costume design! 🔬👩🏻🔬 Plus, I always manage to snag a few special, slightly glittery fabrics that make their way to my own collection! 🤫 My lab might be filled with scientific equipment, but don’t be fooled – it’s also the heart of my glitter bomb production line! 💥✨
I must say a special hello to my darling Derbyshire friends – hope you're all feeling extra sparkly today! You know I love to support all things local, so if you happen to be in Hanwell this weekend, pop down to the fair and come and say hello! 😉 Don't be shy!
