Wood Green - The Sparkles Are Everywhere!

Hello my darling darlings,

Welcome back to Pink-Tutu.com! It's your favourite pink tutu queen, Pink Tutu Sparkles, here and oh, what a day!

Today marks post number 3330! Can you believe it? 3330 days of sparkles, pink and tutus - this blog is almost as old as my beloved, fluffiest tutu!

Speaking of tutus, darling, oh Wood Green, you didn't disappoint!

So, let me tell you a little story… After a gloriously colourful trip down south to Brighton (remember those beach babes?) and a long ride on the choo choo to get back to Derbyshire, I got a fantastic booking at the wonderful, wonderfully named "Wood Green's Funfair and Follies!" They said, "Oh darling, we need a bit of sparkly joy" - and what can a tutu-loving girl say? Well, let me tell you, it's definitely a resounding "YES, PLEASE!"

This venue is pure funfair fabulousness! The air is filled with the joyful squeals of excited children, the unmistakable scent of sizzling sausages and cotton candy (of course), and the merry sound of carnival music – I tell you, the whole place is bursting with happiness.

As always, the most wonderful thing about these fairground performances is the incredible mix of audiences. Today we had a real right mixture! From little babes in their best sparkly shoes, to lovely older folk reminiscing about the fairgrounds of their youth, all loving every minute of the performance.

This show is right up my alley, darling! Picture it, my beautiful, flowing pink tutu, whirling and twirling against the vibrant backdrop of the Ferris wheel! It was pure theatrical bliss, just how I like it! I even got to sing my favourite ditty "Twinkle Twinkle Little Tutu" with a charming choir of giggling young’uns.

Of course, darling, I can't leave the fabulous fair without a quick peek at the prize stalls. We all know how I adore clothes shopping and Wood Green did not disappoint. Imagine a rainbow of brightly coloured fabrics and tutus of all sizes – oh the joy! Even though I had a performance to give, I just had to pop into a charming little stall selling hats. You can't have a complete outfit without a glamorous headpiece!

I got myself a delightful fascinator. Imagine, a perfect pastel pink feathered creation with a smattering of shimmering jewels. A beautiful contrast to the bold fuchsia tones of my new tutu. It simply couldn't be missed! It really made me feel like a modern day Victorian princess! Oh the thrill of it!

Talking of thrills, I decided to try out the fair’s very own carousel. Well, darling, I've always had a thing for spinning - you can't blame a girl for liking a bit of good, old fashioned twirling! And believe me, a beautiful wooden horse, complete with golden saddle and crimson plumes was just begging to be ridden.

Honestly, a little bit of a twirl and the sunshine in my face and it was all I needed to remind myself how lucky I am! The air felt like magic, just how life should be!

Now, before I go, my darlings, a little update on my ongoing mission – remember how I’m aiming to get every single one of you to wear a pink tutu? Well, I must tell you, my fabulous foray to Wood Green has really pushed my agenda forward. This fun fair, full of beautiful pink outfits (a girl can dream!) had some real style icons:

First, let me introduce you to Amelia, a lovely lady about to celebrate her 9th birthday with her whole family! Amelia is quite a stylish lady, I must tell you. Sporting a stunning, cherry red tutu paired with a dazzling white crop top, she was looking absolutely amazing! We discussed tutus over a fluffy pink ice cream, and by the end, she’d come round to the idea of pink. Just need a bit more time to convince her – I'll just keep sending those tutus over in the post… she won’t know what’s hit her!

Then there was Gerald, a true gentleman from the village. He wore his grey hair proudly and sported a brilliant lilac scarf. We had a long chat about life and fashion, and I reckon I’m going to turn this dashing gent into a tutu enthusiast before too long. With a bit more coaxing, I'm confident we can get him into a pink tutu for our next dance!

Darling, it’s a long road to getting the entire world to wear pink tutus. But every new person I meet who’s even vaguely open to a tutu in their wardrobe gives me the hope that one day, it can become a reality. It's my life’s mission, darlings! You just know I won't rest until that happens.

For now, darling, it’s time to pack up my suitcase, gather my glamorous clothes and head home. After all, my fabric science job awaits in the morning.

Keep twirling, Pink Tutu Sparkles!
