Aberdeen Adventures: Post 3377

Hello my lovely sparkles! It's your Pink Tutu Queen, bringing you all the latest glitz and glam from the wonderful world of pink tutus and travelling adventures!

Today's post is extra special because I'm in Aberdeen! The air is crisp, the skies are blue, and the smell of salty sea air just fills me with joy. Honestly, even a drizzle wouldn't dampen my spirits - especially when I'm wearing this absolutely stunning pink tutu I snagged at a vintage shop back in Derbyshire. I love discovering those little treasures.

I took the train up to Aberdeen, naturally. Something about the rhythmic sway of the train carriage just fills me with creativity. Maybe it's the constant change of scenery whizzing past, or perhaps it's just the comfort of being tucked up with a good book and a cheeky cup of tea. Either way, travelling by train is the perfect way for this Tutu Queen to unwind and recharge those creative batteries.

Now, you might be thinking, ā€œPink Tutu Sparkles, why are you in Aberdeen?ā€ Well, I wouldn't be here if it weren't for you lovely sparkles! You know, my mission to spread the love of pink tutus is no walk in the park (or should I say, ballet barre). It requires dedication, creativity, and yes, a little bit of a budget!

So Iā€™m here in Aberdeen because I had a delightful opportunity to perform at a fabulous fair - think bustling stalls, delicious street food, and a joyous, vibrant atmosphere that's just screaming ā€œpink tutu!" (Okay, maybe not literally screaming, but you get the picture.) The crowds loved it, and honestly, performing in a new place is such a thrill. Itā€™s almost like seeing my dream of wearing a pink tutu in every corner of the world coming to fruition one fair at a time!

Aberdeen's Ballet Secrets:

But hold on to your tutus, my darling sparkles, because thereā€™s more! My time in Aberdeen was so much more than just a whirlwind of performing and pink tutus! I stumbled upon a hidden treasure - the Aberdeen Ballet Studio. Now, I know what youā€™re thinking, ā€œPink Tutu Queen and ballet? What a shocker, right?ā€ But it's actually something I'm really passionate about. Ever since my university days, when I accidentally fell in love with a pink tutu while working for charity, I've been totally captivated by the beauty and grace of ballet.

And this Aberdeen studio? Itā€™s a gem! A little sanctuary of grace and beauty, filled with aspiring ballerinas just starting out, and seasoned veterans twirling effortlessly across the floor. It was an absolute pleasure to watch them, and I even had the joy of attending a masterclass myself! (Yes, even a grown-up like me needs to brush up on their skills! Though I do have to say, I'm a bit of a pro in the 'tutu twirl' department!)

My fellow dancers at the Aberdeen studio were simply lovely! Such supportive and kind individuals, sharing their passion for the dance with genuine warmth. And oh, the music, my darlings! The lilting melodies just filled me with a sense of serenity and joy thatā€™s hard to describe. Honestly, you havenā€™t experienced true bliss until youā€™ve been swept away by the beautiful melodies of a live ballet performance.

From Fabric Lab to Stage Lights

Speaking of inspiration, Aberdeen has sparked so many ideas for future performances. You see, my lovely sparkles, by day I'm a humble scientist in a lab, testing the quality and safety of fabrics. Yes, you read that right. While Iā€™m obsessed with all things glitzy and pink, my ā€˜day jobā€™ is actually pretty nerdy! But honestly, the skills I learn in the labā€”understanding different materials and their propertiesā€”transfer wonderfully to my pink tutu life! Itā€™s like my inner scientist comes out to play in the form of crafting spectacular, dazzling outfits that can withstand even the most energetic dance moves. And what could be better than combining my scientific brain with the magic of tutus?

Being both a scientist and a performer keeps things fresh. Itā€™s a dance, a balancing act, a celebration of embracing both the intellectual and the creative sides of myself. In fact, the two are more connected than you might think. From understanding the different types of tulle to choosing the right sparkly sequins, a lot of my scientific knowledge informs my design choices.

And, as for balancing my schedule? Well, let's just say my trusty horse, ā€˜Prince Charming,ā€™ is a champion traveller! You might think that's unusual, but I'm not talking about a boring old ride to work, oh no! I'm talking about gallops along rolling Derbyshire hills, feeling the wind in my hair and the sun on my face - the perfect way to unwind after a day in the lab. Plus, thereā€™s something undeniably majestic about travelling by horse! Itā€™s almost like a chariot race straight out of a fantasy novel.

Aberdeen: A Place for Tutu Lovers

Overall, Aberdeen has truly exceeded all my expectations. From the bustling fair, where I got to spread some serious pink tutu cheer, to the graceful elegance of the Aberdeen Ballet Studio, my trip has been an absolute delight. I know youā€™re all itching to see some pictures, and I promise, Iā€™ll have a post up with all the glamorous highlights of my trip (don't worry, I've captured the whole journey on camera for your enjoyment).

Remember my darlings, wear pink, wear tutus, and spread a little joy and glamour wherever you go.

Until next time, stay sparkly!

Lots of love,

Pink Tutu Sparkles
