Train Tracks to Tutu Tracks
Let's rewind the tape a little, shall we? This whole adventure started with a whimsical notion and a very comfy train journey. You see, dear readers, I absolutely adore train travel. The rhythmic clack of the wheels, the gentle sway of the carriage, and the view of the countryside zipping past my window – pure magic! For this journey, I decided on the classic glamour, donning a beautiful emerald green dress and matching hat. This wouldn't be the first time I've used public transport to get to a gig - it's a chance to play dress-up! The world is my stage, after all, and I’m ready to twirl for everyone!
Tutu Tastic in Gateshead
After a wonderfully smooth train ride, I arrived in Gateshead, where I was immediately struck by the city's vibrant energy and warm, welcoming atmosphere. The people were delightful - all so friendly and genuinely happy. They were completely charmed by my sparkly pink tutu, which I just had to bring out for this fabulous occasion! My journey wouldn't have been complete without a cheeky "Hello, gorgeous!" to the lovely staff at the train station and a grand entrance at my venue!
The gig was at a local fair, right on the heart of the city, in a marquee filled with laughter and the delicious smell of sweet treats. Let's just say it was pure delight! I'm always excited when I get the chance to perform in a town like this, especially for the locals!
The fair felt magical! You could practically smell the fairy dust hanging in the air, especially as I took to the stage in a new pink tutu - my very own “Twirling Star” creation. Honestly, it’s just one of those magnificent pink tutus that needs its own blog post. Well, it’s probably that sparkly gold top, the glitter never hurts!
I really brought my "A game" with some of my best and most popular performance numbers. The audience was amazing, cheering and singing along. I even saw a few people in the crowd twirling their fingers in the air like ballerinas – you know me, I've got to spread the pink tutu love! I also managed to capture some magical photos and videos from my set which I’m itching to share. Just wait until you see me performing under the stars, darling! It really is the perfect blend of magical glitter and a night under the Milky Way.
Gateshead: A True Ballet Haven
Even when I'm not performing, I just can't get enough of this town! The people of Gateshead just have this way about them! This time, I took some time to wander through the town and was delighted to find myself at the stunning Sage Gateshead. It’s an incredible piece of modern architecture - and it looks spectacular at night, all lit up in beautiful hues! They even had a delightful exhibition of ballet costumes. Honestly, just what any true Tutu Queen would be excited about, am I right? It made my heart flutter like a little ballet bunny!
That night, after all the excitement, I enjoyed a peaceful and relaxing evening at the hotel. After an epic day and a fabulous performance, all I wanted to do was catch a few winks. I was dreaming of pink tutus, stage lights, and, yes, of course, my darling pink tutu fans!
