Hello my darlings! It's your favourite pink-tutu-wearing queen, Pink Tutu Sparkles, and guess what? I'm back from Littlehampton! The train ride was positively divine, don't you know? All those colourful houses with their blooming flower boxes…just like a picture postcard! It truly made me want to dust off my vintage hat and grab a spot by the seaside. The sea air is so refreshing and makes my skin feel oh-so-smooth!
Speaking of feeling smooth, my fabulous new pink tutu got some serious attention on the train! It's the most exquisite, twirly, layered tulle delight, adorned with little sparkling pink hearts. I snagged it from a vintage shop in London last week, and let me tell you, it's pure magic. It really is the life of the party! Everyone in the carriage seemed to be completely smitten by its sparkle. You know I simply couldn't resist striking a pose for the fellow travellers! A quick twirl and a playful "Ta-dah!" with a flourish, and suddenly, every pair of eyes was fixed on me!
Now, you may be thinking, "Alex, why do you always travel by train?" Well, my dears, I'm a firm believer in the romance of train travel! It allows me to gaze out at the beautiful scenery, sip a cup of chamomile tea (always with two sugars, darling), and enjoy a good book - right now, I'm reading "The Complete Works of Shakespeare" (I'm a huge fan of the Bard! Shakespeare and tutus? What's not to love? Oh, and of course, there's always room for a little ballet class while on the go! The rhythmic swaying of the train and the clatter of the wheels creates the perfect background music for my own personal “Dance like Nobody’s Watching" moment! I can practically feel the power of the "pirouette" building as the train glides down the tracks!
Now, on to Littlehampton! It's a delightful seaside town, brimming with that charming "British seaside holiday" feel. Oh, the seagulls! The arcades! The ice cream cones dripping with melting strawberry ripple! You just can't beat the atmosphere of a good old-fashioned British seaside resort! I must admit, I was feeling quite inspired by the beautiful colours and playful energy of the place. You'll have to wait for the details about the actual show I performed! Suffice to say, it involved glitter, sequins, a healthy dose of pink (you'll find a photo of it on my Instagram, @pinktutusporkles, later tonight, so don't forget to give it a like!), and the absolute most incredible tutus! Honestly, my darlings, if you ever get the chance to see me perform in Littlehampton, you simply must!
But first, let me share some of the exciting news! My next big adventure takes me to the vibrant city of Edinburgh! And get this, I've even booked a fabulous, vintage horse-drawn carriage for my grand entrance into the city! Can you believe it? The horse, its coat as sleek and black as midnight, is called "Shadow," and he's the most majestic creature you'll ever see! It's practically a scene from a fairytale! And trust me, when you see me in my most glamorous tutu, you'll think the fairies have taken up residence in this town.
Speaking of Edinburgh, did I mention that I'm scheduled to do a workshop on pink tutu fashion in the city? Yes, that's right, my darlings! "Pink Tutu 101" is open to anyone who wants to explore the wonders of the perfect pink tutu, the different styles, the ways to make it your own. I'm thrilled to be sharing my passion for tutus and spreading the love for all things pink and sparkly. Oh, you have no idea how many incredible outfits I have prepared for this! From ballet inspired chiffon, with delicate embroidery, to a fierce feathered explosion of pink feathers - it's a dream come true for any fashion-loving queen (and by "queen," I mean everyone!). It’s all going to be completely fab, fabulous, fabulous! We're going to talk about the history of tutus, explore all sorts of different tutu designs and share lots of fashion tips to create the perfect pink tutu look that best flatters you!
To be honest, this trip has made me realise that I truly love this pink life! The glamour, the performing, the joy I bring to others. It's a magical world, my darlings. So, whether you're planning a trip to the seaside, dancing up a storm at a local club, or just indulging in a little self-care by adding a sprinkle of pink to your life, never forget, "Always Wear Your Tutu With Pride"!
