Right then, Eltham, you glorious, beautiful town you. I’m not sure what possessed me to pack my rainbow bag, don my most shimmering tutu (I mean, it's called Pink Tutu Sparkles for a reason!), and hop onto a train (oh, the joy of a good train journey!). Perhaps it was the call of the stage. Perhaps it was the irresistible lure of a brand-new fair, full of delicious smells, quirky delights, and hopefully a pink tutu stand (one can only dream!). Maybe, just maybe, it was the irresistible chance to sprinkle my special brand of sparkle all over the place.
Now, I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again – this little Derbyshire girl has an absolute obsession with tutus. I mean, what’s not to love? It’s basically a fashion statement, a playful statement, a statement that says, “I’m not afraid to stand out and shine!" My journey started in the unlikeliest of places - a university science lab. (Yep, I'm a scientist by day – go figure!). But fate had me try on a tutu for charity during a uni ballet club event. It was love at first twirl. Pink Tutu Sparkles was born, and, well, here we are.
Since then, I've been chasing dreams of pink perfection, with every city, every stage, every encounter radiating pure joy. But you know me – Pink Tutu Sparkles isn’t about taking things seriously! This is a world where life's too short for dull, where fashion is a form of self-expression, and where tutus are the most brilliant form of communication there is.
And guess what, my fabulous friends? Eltham is living up to every single sparkly expectation. The fair is a delight! From handmade trinkets to quirky crafts, it’s got something for everyone. The air is thick with the aroma of delicious treats (and a certain fragrance that reminds me of my most coveted tutu – a little pink secret).
But, I hear you cry, “Pink Tutu, haven't you just been on the train? How on earth can you go anywhere without telling us what you wore?!" Don't worry, my loves, you already know my motto: pink is everything! My wardrobe is a kaleidoscope of the most delicious hues. I went for a fuchsia stunner that matched the sky and my most effervescent mood – it’s got a double-layered tulle skirt with some gorgeous embroidery that I found on my latest shopping spree. And the sparkle? Let’s just say it’s the type of sparkle that makes even the sun jealous! To top it off, a bright pink feathered boa, because if there’s ever a moment to bring the drama, it’s at a fair. Let’s face it, it's the only sensible thing to wear.
After a delightful exploration of the fairground, it's time for the big reveal. You already know that Pink Tutu Sparkles lives for the stage! Tonight, I'm dazzling Eltham's best local pub with a show full of sparkle and glamour! Think dance routines, glitter, and a little bit of…dare I say…comedy. The crowds will be bouncing, the music will be booming, and Pink Tutu Sparkles will be showering everyone in the most amazing pink tutu energy imaginable!
The most magical thing about my travels, darlings, is meeting fellow pink tutu lovers. This morning, I bumped into a young lady in the cutest baby pink tulle tutu and a pair of fluffy pink bunny ears. Talk about adorable! And it wasn't just the attire that sparked joy; we chatted about our love of pink, our love of all things tutu-esque, and how much the world needed a little more sparkle. I swear, these chance encounters are the best part!
