Hello my darling tutu-loving cherubs! Pink Tutu Sparkles here, and boy, oh boy, have I got a story for you!
Today, I'm waltzing my way into the glorious Scottish Highlands - Airdrie to be exact! ✈️
Remember my promise to you, my precious little ballerinas, to take my pink tutu everywhere I go? Well, this trip is all about delivering on that pinky promise!
This trip wouldn't be possible without you lovely lot! The fantastic response I received at the local flower festival in Derby last week has meant that I could book this wonderful weekend in Airdrie! Oh, and thanks to you my darling audience in Derbyshire, I can finally purchase that fabulous, feathery, pink boa that's been tempting me at that haberdashery shop on Bakewell Street! ?
Remember that fabulous pink ostrich feather boa I mentioned in last week’s post? The one with all the sparkles that looks like a pink fluffy cloud?! Oh darling, I'm just so excited! I had to spend an extra day in Derbyshire to choose a matching sparkly feather headband.
Speaking of sparkly headbands - I am completely obsessed with headbands! Have you noticed the gorgeous sparkly bows and hair combs popping up in all the high street shops lately?! I have to admit I might have bought a few too many pink feather hair accessories – can you really have too many sparkles though? The answer, my loves, is an emphatic ‘No’!
Anyway, back to my fab trip to Airdrie!
I do love travelling by train – I must admit though, I do also love horse-riding too! Ever since I got that pony ride at the Derbyshire County Fair, it has always been my dream to go on an epic ride through the countryside – so many tutu opportunities! Maybe I can combine my passion for pink tutus and horses and set up a mobile, sparkly, tutu shop and travel to each county fair. I bet they’d sell like hot cakes – I will get my sewing machine out this week to make some samples to show off next week!
Oh, speaking of which - Airdrie boasts a gorgeous 19th century horse-drawn carriage museum, just waiting to be explored! I just know my pink tulle tutu will make an excellent statement against all the black velvet and dark wood! I will make sure to have loads of fabulous photographs to post for you tomorrow!
But this weekend's not just about carriage rides and fancy haberdashery - it's about bringing the pink tutu magic to Airdrie! I’m so excited to bring a little bit of Derbyshire’s sparkliest fashion flair to a whole new audience.
This weekend, I'm set to perform in the heart of Airdrie – on stage, baby! A big local restaurant chain has even invited me to host a pink tutu party - who knew pink tutus would be so in demand? – a fab fashion designer at a local independent fashion shop said that it has made Airdrie much more exciting! They have invited me to bring my best sparkly feather boa to an upcoming fashion show - all part of their marketing plan to show the local community how fashion can be playful and expressive! This will be so much fun!
I'm feeling a little bit nervous (okay, a LOT nervous), but mainly excited to show everyone the power of a little pink tulle! If I can get even one person to rock a pink tutu and unleash their inner sparkly diva, then I know this weekend will be a success! ?
