Bridlington Belles and Pink Tutu Dreams - Blog Post #3552

Hello, darling dears! It's your favourite pink-loving, tutu-touting drag queen, Pink Tutu Sparkles, here! I'm just back from a truly magical weekend in Bridlington, a seaside town on the east coast of England. You know I love my seaside escapades, and this trip was no exception! I even braved the chilly waters in my pinkest bikini - it's all about that fabulous splash of colour, darling!

As usual, I made the journey by train. I simply can't resist the allure of those plush carriages, sipping on my Earl Grey and watching the scenery whizz by. Oh, and let's not forget the endless opportunities for people watching. The best part? The carriage was a sea of vibrant colours! Pink, of course, played a starring role, but I also spotted a delightful electric blue beret and a dazzling green jacket - it was like a fashion parade rolling through the countryside.

Now, you might think it's a tad unusual for a drag queen to travel by train, but hear me out! It's not just the scenery and the charming passengers, darling, it's the fact that itā€™s such a perfect time to let my inner fabulousness shine. Iā€™m a real chameleon of the carriages. Youā€™ll find me reading a novel (usually a good Jane Austen or something with a sparkling bit of historical romance), scribbling in my diary (just jotting down my latest performance notes), or rocking out to some of my favourite tunes. Yes, I am not shy about my love for musical theatre! Let's be honest, who doesn't enjoy a little burst of melody and glitter on their commute?

Bridlington Belles

Upon arriving in Bridlington, I immediately fell in love with its seaside charm. Thereā€™s something about those quaint cobbled streets and colourful beach huts that makes me feel right at home. My heart did a little twirl at the sight of the bustling promenade - think funfair rides, arcade games, and oh-so-many seaside goodies to tempt me! Oh, I simply must tell you about this fabulous new milkshake stand I found - itā€™s pink and boasts the most delicious watermelon concoction I have ever tasted. It made for the perfect treat on my wanderings.

Bridlington also boasts a charming little theatre! My mission? To spread the magic of my pink tutu goodness and maybe even convince some of the locals to try on their very own tulle wonder. You know, a girl can dream, can't she?

I spent the evening at the theatre, and what a grand show it was! I had a fantastic time! I watched a lovely local amateur ballet show - oh the talent was just extraordinary! It reminded me why I simply adore ballet so much - it's a form of artistic expression like no other. Afterwards, I met the lovely young ladies of the company, all graceful ballerinas dressed in beautiful tutus of all different colours. Well, it wouldnā€™t do to visit a ballet show without adding some sparkle, darling! I whipped out my dazzling pink tutu and we posed for a photo together. Such fun! And, Iā€™m glad to report that the magic of the pink tutu truly captured the imaginations of these budding dancers.

After the ballet show, I put on my biggest smile and rocked out with my favourite ukulele tunes for all the lovely locals at a fun local music venue - Iā€™ve always got a ukulele strapped to my handbag - just in case I have an impromptu serenade moment! Now, you all know that music, whether it be from a string quartet or a simple ukulele, is truly the language of the soul. And so, it seemed quite appropriate to end the day by entertaining my adoring fans at a nearby pub with a few classic hits! (Of course, the ā€œPink Tutu Sparklesā€ playlist was peppered with some tunes about fairies, magic and pink-tastic colour).

Now, the day had to end with a real splash of glamour. I couldn't let a trip to the seaside pass without a celebratory trip to a glamorous restaurant! After all, a fabulous queen always knows how to treat herself. Well, let me tell you, the food at ā€œThe Oyster Catcherā€ was absolutely divine. The oysters were the perfect touch of sophistication, and the bubbly really got the evening party started! Oh, and did I tell you, I simply couldn't resist adding a touch of pink to the occasion by having my very own Pink Tutu cocktail (think a beautiful combination of freshly squeezed pink grapefruit, gin and Prosecco - yum).

I know what youā€™re thinking - Pink Tutu Sparkles must have gone wild in Bridlington! But thatā€™s the best part about a weekend away. I truly embrace the moment and allow myself to be completely free, both in my sparkly tutu, and in spirit. The more the merrier, darling.

Back in the Lab, but the Magic Never Fades

Iā€™m now back in the lab at my daytime gig. Thatā€™s right, when Iā€™m not twirling in a tutu, Iā€™m back in the real world! I work as a scientist for a small firm, testing fabrics and, you guessed it, designing new fabrics and patterns with colour and texture at the forefront! Itā€™s fascinating, but nothing can compare to the magic of my alter-ego! And believe me, it's hard to stay focused when my thoughts keep flitting back to Bridlington, my amazing evening in the theatre, and those gorgeous tutu-wearing ballerinas! It's amazing how much energy my pink tutu gives me.

As you know, darling, I firmly believe that everyone has a bit of pink tutu magic inside of them! Itā€™s all about embracing the fabulous!

So, darling, let's keep spreading that magic and wear our tutus with pride! Until next time, remember to stay sparkling and fabulous. Love,

Pink Tutu Sparkles.
