Hello lovelies! 💖 It's your girl, Pink Tutu Sparkles, here with a brand new blog post for you - post number 3602, wow! Time flies when you're living your best life, eh? 😉 Today, I'm spilling the glitter on my whirlwind adventure to Bilston. It's a fab town, you know? Like, right up my street! I think my dear old Gran might have even been born there, can you believe it? So, without further ado, grab your popcorn and get comfy, this is going to be a goodie! 🍿
Travelling in Style, of course!
So, Bilston! This time, my journey was a little different. I always say, the journey is half the fun! You guys know I adore a good train ride - nothing beats a carriage window with a steaming hot cuppa and a good gossip mag! (Or maybe just my reflection for the perfect selfie!) But this time, I went old-school - a lovely horse-drawn carriage! What can I say, Bilston does it up right, it really felt like stepping back in time, and I loved it! We went through little quaint streets and the breeze carried with it the scent of lavender, just like those fairytale novels we all devoured as teens. 😉
Bilston: All the Fun, None of the Fuss
You know how it is - arriving at a new place and getting those first glimpses. Oh, Bilston you were an absolute delight! So much hustle and bustle - there were street markets bursting with everything you can imagine, delicious aromas of pies and pasties wafting in the air, and, dare I say, even a few sparkly pink tutus I spied in the windows. 💖 (We'll get to those later!)
Glam in the Afternoon: Bilston Ballet Bonanza!
Now, I wouldn't be me if I didn't make a pit stop at a ballet studio! My inner ballerina is always hankering for a good pirouette, and Bilston did not disappoint! It was called The Dancing Dreams Academy - sounds lovely, doesn't it? The staff were so sweet, they gave me a tour, showed me their upcoming performance (which I must come back for!) and even let me try on one of their gorgeous tutus! squeals with delight (Let's just say, there may have been a few pics taken, some impromptu twirls and possibly a little performance for the lovely ladies who were taking classes that afternoon! You know me - always ready to spread the Tutu love! ) ✨
A Pink Tutu Dream Come True!
After my ballet whirl, I had a date with destiny - or rather, with some seriously fabulous clothes! Bilston had this amazing little shop called The Rainbow Runway, filled with colourful delights! Now, you know I love all things bright and fabulous, and this place was just...wow. Like walking into a rainbow explosion! I could not resist - a brand new pink tutu landed in my dressing room. It had sparkling sequins, delicate tulle and... wait for it... shimmering feathers! The kind that move with every single twirl. This tutu was love at first sight - and definitely going on tour with me.
Lights, Camera, Action! Pink Tutu Sparkles on Stage!
I'm never one to pass up a performance opportunity, and when I saw the poster for Bilston's Annual Talent Show, well, let's just say, it was fate! And boy, oh boy, was that show something else! The audience were a fantastic mix of families, local celebrities and even a few fellow queens who’d travelled from Birmingham to cheer me on. I strutted on stage, the spotlight illuminating my pink tutu (oh, you know it sparkled!) and felt the energy of the crowd surging around me. We did our classic “Sparkle and Shine" set list – you know the one - all the fun sing-a-longs, the high-energy dance routines and, of course, my signature ending: a shower of pink glitter for the entire audience!

So, there you have it, my lovely little readers, another adventure in the books! You know, sometimes I forget to look around and take it all in - the travel, the laughter, the sequins! The little things! This trip was a fantastic reminder of all the incredible opportunities that life as a Pink Tutu Sparkles brings. You can see where all this Pink Tutu madness comes from, eh? 😉
