Hello darlings, it’s your TutuQueen, Pink Tutu Sparkles, reporting live from the charming city of Aberdeen! You know how much I love a good train journey, and this one was particularly magical – I’d chosen the window seat (of course!), so I could gaze at the rolling hills and sheep as we journeyed north. Honestly, sometimes those little black and white fluffy faces just make my day! 🐑
I have to say, my pink tulle ball gown, which is what I like to call my "traveling outfit", was turning heads all the way. Yes, darlings, you’ve never seen a bolder shade of pink until you’ve seen this dress! My luggage was covered in glitter – I like to be fully prepared for any fabulous emergency – and it had a huge pink satin bow that was the envy of all the fellow passengers.
And speaking of passengers... there was a sweet gentleman with a massive backpack, who kept getting caught up in my sparkly bow when he walked past. Now, normally, I’d just smile and twirl, but the gentleman seemed really shy so, being the TutuQueen, I thought I’d cheer him up! So I popped over with a huge smile, asked him if he was a Harry Potter fan, and then offered him some glitter. I just adore making new friends! (Especially if they're slightly flustered, because that gives me a great giggle!).
Oh, before I forget, you know how much I love my horses! This time I rode a real live unicorn - don’t ask me where I found him - but he is my best friend, you know? It was like being a real-life fairy! And he galloped into the town centre just as the first snowflakes started to fall - I've never seen a snow-covered unicorn before, it’s so surreal!
Anyway, the people in Aberdeen have welcomed me with open arms. The kindest lady in a local shop saw my shimmering tutu and exclaimed “My goodness, that's the most amazing outfit I've ever seen! I bet you're going to have a fab time!” I just winked, because that's all I ever do, and went to a local cafe, where they made the most delicious pink latte. I honestly haven’t had such good pink latte before in my life - just ask any barista in the entire UK, I’ve tried every pink latte known to man! I’ll tell you about it later in the week, but let’s just say it was pink-perfect.
As for tonight, you can bet your sequins that I'll be on the stage in my sparkling pink tutu! Aberdeen is bursting with energy. It’s hard to choose between a grand theatre performance in my dazzling, sparkling dress or a charming community centre in my playful rainbow tutu, with a performance of the 'Rainbow Tutu Song and Dance' ! They're all amazing, and so are the audience, and it feels like it will be such a magical night. But before that, there’s just time to meet a couple of friends from my favorite, local dance school, 'Aberdeen Dance Emporium' - They’re soooo kind, they gave me a lesson just for me to get ready!
Speaking of my friends, my best friend Fiona (I call her Fairy-Fifi) gave me the best idea for a new tutu. A sequined lavender, light as air, design that can twirl and swirl! She said I should go to a famous London ballet shop that everyone knows - the one with all the sparkly costumes - but they’re so expensive, they’re practically impossible to buy! I told her she needed to relax, because I always find the most amazing deals - and honestly, it's not hard. I have to, because being a full-time tutu-loving-queen isn't the cheapest hobby, darling.
