(Oh, and this is my 3665th post – can you believe it?!) I just love the excitement of a big city. Wembley, well, that was a right hoot! Let me tell you…
I set off from Derbyshire in the morning, clutching a bag filled with my finest tutus. I always feel so good when I’m heading somewhere exciting in my favourite shade of pink. Today was no different! Now, I don’t drive. Nope. You’ll find me cruising the railway lines – first class, of course. It’s the most comfortable way to travel, with a cuppa and some nice biscuits. There’s something truly glamorous about being whisked away at great speed, like I'm starring in a chic vintage film!
When I finally got to Wembley, the place was alive with anticipation – you could practically smell the excitement in the air! I popped into my hotel room (which, naturally, had a fantastic view) and had a good long look in the mirror. Everything needs to be just so! With a quick swish and a flick, I donned my newest tutu - it's a fluffy pink number with shimmery silver stars – oh so dreamy! I couldn't resist taking a selfie before heading out. My little Twitter family just loved the photo. #pinktutulife #wembleyadventures
Now, this journey wasn’t just for a casual visit – oh no, it was for a big, bright, glittery gig! The venue was fabulous: an art deco building full of colourful lights and a bustling crowd of eager faces. I knew instantly that I had stumbled upon the perfect place to share my love of pink tutus with the world. I had a big performance slot and plenty of opportunities to chat with my fans. You all know how much I love sharing tips on where to find the best tutus and the secrets to becoming a pink tutu queen! I just want to see the world dripping in pink tulle!
And speaking of my beloved tutus, I got to showcase a brand-new one in my Wembley performance! It's a breathtaking creation - a three-tiered masterpiece with layers upon layers of delicate pink fabric, each trimmed with shimmering, hand-stitched sequins. You just can't even imagine the amount of tulle in that piece – enough to fill a whole horsebox, perhaps! (Which brings me to my other passion - horseback riding! I love exploring the countryside on a horse, I feel like a fairytale princess!)
Now, no good drag performance is complete without a fab makeup routine. We’re talking glitter, gorgeous eyeshadows, and enough eyelashes to rival a tropical bird! I’m lucky to have the most amazing makeup artist, Tilly. She’s a bit of a legend in the makeup world, and she always manages to create a truly spectacular look. We make quite the pair - me with my bright pink tutus, her with her glittering array of palettes! She just knows how to accentuate my best features – all those big pink eyes and the perfect pout for those pouty Pink Tutu Sparkles selfies!
The stage at Wembley was a delight! All those twinkling lights, the sound of the roaring crowd – what's not to love? My dance routines were even more fabulous than usual, complete with dramatic spins, a little cheeky wiggle and all my best signature moves. Oh, and of course, my signature “Pink Tutu Sparkle” that I whip out during the final moments. The crowd went absolutely wild! You could just see the joy on their faces! That, my darlings, is the feeling that makes all this worthwhile. To be surrounded by smiling faces, sharing the power of pink tulle!
After the show, there were endless selfies, giggles, and compliments. Even the guards were giggling and dancing with me! I just can't resist sharing the magic of pink with the world, and it's fantastic to see everyone else embracing it! People were even asking where to buy a tutu to go with their evening gown for a wedding or birthday bash – brilliant! Who knew a tutu could add that extra something special! I just adore those kind of requests.
Oh, and Wembley was absolutely bursting with fabulous fashion! So much pink, glitter, and sequins! It was like walking through a giant catwalk. I have to say, the street performers and performers in the pubs were pretty fabulous. I even met one queen called Pinkalicious, and let’s just say her style and attitude were totally Pink Tutu Sparkles approved!
You’ll never guess what I brought home from Wembley! Yes, you guessed it, more tutus. And this time it was a collection! There were enough for all my little nieces and nephews – oh they are gonna love them! The tutus even come with sparkly wands. They are going to be rocking their own Pink Tutu Sparkles outfits in no time! It was like buying for my entire family, a complete set of magical pink wonder!
