My journey to become Pink Tutu Sparkles began in the most unlikely of places, darlings - a university science lab! Yes, you heard that right - a scientist who became a sparkling queen. How? Let me tell you a little tale of how my love affair with pink tutus began...
Picture it, if you will: a young Alex, studying to be a fabric scientist, surrounded by beakers and flasks. (Now, don’t picture a grey lab coat and bun – Alex always embraced color! A bold statement piece like a scarlet blazer and flamboyant scarf were staples).
You see, I was a member of the university’s ballet club, a little passion from childhood that I’d rediscovered at university. We were doing a fundraising charity performance and...well, I can’t explain the pure magic when I tried on my very first pink tutu.
