I'm currently bouncing around the bustling streets of Kirkby, a town I’ve always wanted to visit, nestled amongst the charming rolling hills of... well, somewhere! The journey here was quite the adventure! After all, the Queen of pink never does anything by halves, does she? I decided to make the trip by train, embracing the charming scenery whilst indulging in some delectable snacks and copious amounts of tea. And let's face it, who can say no to a leisurely trip, right?
Speaking of indulging, just last week, I made the trip down to London, all in the name of a ballet dream! I simply had to attend the world premiere of a brand new piece by the Royal Ballet - "The Midnight Swan." Now, this show was something else! 🦢✨ It featured this spectacular black and white swan costume, which was SO much like something I’d try and whip up, you know, for my own stage show, of course! But I digress. It was an extraordinary spectacle! Imagine all the swirling fabric and breathtaking artistry. And those tutu's? To die for! All feather-light and just swoon!
Since I've been back from my whirlwind trip, I’ve been getting back into my ballet classes - I must keep the legs strong, even when life is busy with gigs, travels, and endless shopping for the most fab new pink outfits! I am obsessed! Sometimes I sneakily slip my tutu on over the top of my everyday clothes for a sneaky little pirouette and flick of the foot - life’s too short to be serious all the time, darling!
Did I tell you about the incredible pair of hot pink platform boots I recently snagged in a gorgeous little shop in Chesterfield? You see, every outfit deserves the right footwear! These ones are so going to be my new “go-to” boots, with a splash of glitter to make them extra special - we always have to make a little sparkle, don't we?
Speaking of sparkly things, this trip to Kirkby is all about theatrical performance! You know me, always embracing the opportunity to perform in the most unusual places! I'll be joining in the "Kirkby Fun Fair" with a fabulous performance on the outdoor stage – the town is bursting with excitement, and who am I to say no to a spot of revelry! Just picture it - me, under the blazing sun, shimmering in all my pink glory, inspiring the crowd to embrace their inner tutudress. Can’t wait!
Let me tell you a little secret - ever since I began this whole pink-tutu odyssey, I've met some truly incredible people - artists, dancers, theatre enthusiasts - you name it, the world is bursting with glitter, feathers, and of course, lots and lots of pink! And remember, every person, wherever they come from, deserves to be sparkly, unique and to embrace all things Pink-tutu fabulous!
And as we approach the end of another post, I'm reminded that even though life may throw some curveballs, it’s up to us to make it spectacular - a big, bubbly pink cocktail, garnished with feathers and sprinkled with enough sequins to blind a disco ball!
