Hello darlings! It's your favourite pink tutu princess, Pink Tutu Sparkles, here, signing in from the glorious seaside town of Cleethorpes! 🌊 Can you believe it's already May? Where does the time go? I swear, I was just getting settled into my new collection of hot pink feather boas and here we are, halfway through spring! But fear not, darlings, because this sparkly girl isn't about to let a few sunny days slow her down!
This week, I'm swapping my Derbyshire hills for the invigorating sea breeze and I'm positively thrilled. My trip to Cleethorpes marks another amazing milestone in my Pink Tutu Adventures, which I hope will inspire you all to unleash your inner sparkle and join me on the road to universal tutu domination! 💖✨
But before we dive headfirst into the seaside fun, let's take a little trip down memory lane, shall we? 🕰️
You see, darling, I've always had a passion for the theatrical! Even as a wee lad growing up in Derbyshire, I'd put on little shows for my family, decked out in my mum's sparkly scarves and an impressive collection of cushion covers that served as fabulous makeshift costumes. I'm not sure where the love for pink came from, but my parents swear it started with a particularly pink bath duck! 🦆 Whatever the reason, pink has always been my colour and has always made me feel like a princess!
Of course, life had to get in the way, didn't it? I had to get those GCSEs and A-levels, and then came the pressure of university! So, I traded the cushions for lab coats, glitter for chemicals, and dreams of becoming a famous drag queen for a very respectable science degree. I actually did pretty well, you know, becoming a certified fabric expert! Yes, a real scientist by day, testing the tensile strength and resilience of your favourite fabrics - that's me! And yes, I know, a bit of a mismatch, but trust me, the skills learned in a lab, the dedication to detail, they all feed into my dazzling drag performances! ✨
And speaking of performances, there was this fateful university fundraiser! We were putting together a musical performance for charity and, just for fun, the club put on some costumes for a giggle. A gorgeous, shimmering pink tutu caught my eye. I just HAD to try it on, even if it was just a joke! Well, darling, that one little joke turned my life upside down! The moment I saw myself in the mirror, surrounded by my university pals and those stunning tulle ruffles, something just CLICKED! That was it, I was born to be Pink Tutu Sparkles! It felt right, it felt natural, it felt me!
The rest, as they say, is history! Now, every night, I unleash the magic and perform in every dive bar and fairground that'll have me, spreading the good word about the joy of the pink tutu! And, as for my daytime life? Well, it's all a little blurry now. Science feels like a distant memory compared to the glittering glamour of my performances! 💖
So, what is the Pink Tutu Sparkles vision? Well, simply put, darling, it's world domination! But not the evil kind, oh no! I'm not going to unleash my killer bee stingers on anyone. Instead, I'm armed with sequins and smiles, spreading joy and inspiration one twirling pink tutu at a time!

Just this week, as I sat on the train on my way to Cleethorpes (because what else is there but trains for a glamorous drag queen, darling? Planes? Pah! Those are for normal people, dear! 💅🏻) a woman in a beautiful turquoise dress stopped me! "I saw you in my favourite bakery back in Norwich," she exclaimed, "My granddaughter wants to be just like you. She’s going to wear a pink tutu at her birthday party!"
See, darlings? My work is paying off! Pink tutus are a surefire recipe for laughter and happiness!
Now, back to Cleethorpes!
So, I arrived in the bustling seaside town, armed with a hot pink feather boa, a matching handbag with sparkly sequins (naturally!) and my trusty rainbow tutu. This, my darlings, is the one for Cleethorpes! It's got all the rainbow colours you could ever need to create the most magical, fabulous seaside spectacle! After all, who wants a boring beach when you can have a sparkling Pink Tutu beach? I think you'll agree that's an easy choice to make, right?
I set off for a walk on the beach, twirling in my glorious tutu, to get some fresh sea air. Honestly, it was quite the sight, I’m sure everyone on the beach will attest to this. Not only was it thrilling for me, but it turns out it also gave a huge smile to everyone else.
And let’s not forget the seaside! Ah, darling, I just love the beach. I’ll be honest, my legs may not be up to an all-day marathon, but that just gives me even more of a reason to wear a beautiful outfit for the few steps I do manage! Besides, where else can you find the perfect photo op for a dramatic pose, the salty air to carry your dazzling eyeshadow and the backdrop for a magnificent seafront spectacle?
And you won’t believe the treat that awaits me! It turns out, there’s a fabulous new ballet academy right in the heart of Cleethorpes. I cannot wait to learn from the professionals, perhaps get some pointers on my own ballet-inspired drag moves and see if I can improve on my impressive, if occasionally slightly clumsy, grand jetés. I'll definitely update you on my progress, darling. There may even be a special dance-themed vlog just for you!
So, what does the next few days hold? Well, of course, more sparkle and twirls! We're talking seaside ice cream, fabulous new beachside discoveries (dare I hope for a Pink Tutu themed ice cream, or a fabulous pink-themed carousel? dreamy sigh) and of course, those amazing dance lessons that are going to take my performance to a whole new level! Oh, and I can’t forget, I have a fabulous gig on the pier this weekend. We’re talking a Pink Tutu Sparkles takeover, darling, with live singing, spectacular dances, a dazzling costume change…
