Today, I'm beaming back from the stunning shores of North Shields, where I've just had a positively fabulous performance! Now, I know what you're thinking: North Shields? That's a bit of a trek from Derbyshire, isn't it? Well, let's just say that this little Pink Tutu was determined to spread some sparkles and grace all over the North East.
The journey itself was a joy. This time, I opted for the trusty train, which whisked me away on a cloud of comfortable pink velvet seats and dreamy scenery whizzing by. I packed a stack of new tulle skirts - one for each day of my travels - a copy of 'Swan Lake' for my pre-show inspiration (because who doesn't love a good ballet?), and my trusty sewing kit for last-minute sparkle emergencies. Oh, and my glitter makeup, of course! 💄
North Shields itself is charming, with its quaint cobbled streets, historic pubs and of course, the majestic North Sea. The wind may have been trying to steal my tiara, but that didn't stop me from sashay-ing down the promenade like a real-life princess.
Now, you all know I'm a big fan of performance, and I have to tell you: The energy of the audience at North Shields was positively electrifying. I twirled, I shimmied, I even did a bit of ballet, all in the glorious pink tutu that has become my signature.
My favourite part, though? A little girl in the audience, not even three years old, clapping along, her eyes wide with wonder, sporting a bright pink bow on her hair! Seeing the pure joy on her face, I knew I had achieved my purpose. It's all about sharing the joy and sparkle, you see. Every twirl, every dance move, every glitter-dusted eyelash is about bringing happiness and magic to the world. And it doesn't matter if you're five years old, fifteen, or a seasoned glitter-loving veteran like myself. 💖
It's no surprise that performing as Pink Tutu Sparkles is my biggest passion. And while I spend my days in the lab, testing the tensile strength of various fabrics (a vital part of any fabulous outfit, trust me!), by night, I become the dazzling, twirling icon that makes everyone believe in the power of a pink tutu. It's an incredible transformation, like a glamorous metamorphosis!
I know some people think I'm crazy, obsessed with all things pink. But frankly, who wouldn't want to live in a world where everyone is encouraged to embrace their inner sparkle, to twirl with joy, to live with a playful spirit? That's my mission: To bring the world more pink tutus! One sparkling performance, one twirling princess, one vibrant, happy heart at a time.
