Spalding Calling! #TutuQueen On Tour!

Hello darling dears! Your favourite Pink Tutu Queen, Pink Tutu Sparkles, here, and it's time for blog post number 3815 on www.pink-tutu.com. As usual, I've got a right old tittle-tattle to spill. So grab a cuppa, pull up a pew, and settle in for a dose of pure Pink Tutu perfection!

You know me, darling, always on the go, travelling the length and breadth of the country. Well, actually, mostly by train or, on the odd occasion, by horseback (did I tell you about that time I was invited to a Glamping event in the Cotswolds where I had to arrive on horseback?).

But this week, I found myself on the sunny side of Spalding. And let me tell you, it's a real gem of a place. Now, I've always had a soft spot for little towns. There's something magical about them, isn't there? You know everyone, they’re like your own little family. And, of course, Spalding was just as sweet as I imagined!

I always say, you can’t beat the thrill of a new place. It’s the ultimate adventure for a Pink Tutu Queen. There are so many fabulously fabulous places to explore, so much inspiration to find, and such a great opportunity to spread the Pink Tutu gospel! That's my aim, you know: to bring a bit of pink tutus-tastic joy to every corner of the globe, and to make it perfectly acceptable for absolutely everyone to wear one. It's about embracing individuality, celebrating colour, and rocking your inner fabulous!

My journey to Spalding was the usual dazzling delight. As always, I made sure to be as glamorous as possible. (Seriously, just picture it - me in my fabulously fuchsia velvet train journey frock, hair teased to new heights, a matching pink tutu, all aboard a quaint carriage, with a hot cup of tea in one hand, and my mobile phone, clicking away, in the other). Of course, there was the odd bit of nervous energy (that’s always a part of the process for me, darlings. But as long as there are pink tutus to be worn, I always, always push through!).

What's so great about places like Spalding, is you never know who's going to be there. On my arrival at Spalding railway station (a cute little place in itself, full of old brick and railway history, you know, charming!) , a local group of ladies, members of the Spalding Tutu Association, were waiting with a banner that said ‘Welcome, Pink Tutu Queen, we've been waiting for you’. Now, if that doesn't melt your heart, darling, nothing will! We had a lovely chat, of course, and they all promised to wear their pink tutus at the next Spalding Tutu Association Meeting.

Then there was the venue, a small theater above a local pub - the sort of place with proper character. You know, low ceilings, exposed brick, and that warm, familiar smell of hops and beer (don’t worry, there was no beer being served during the show, it was a strictly-alcohol-free affair!),

But let me tell you, darlings, that stage was all set for Pink Tutu Sparkles magic, ready to get Spalding bouncing to the rhythm of my tutu! I even managed to borrow an old feather boa, and with it I whipped up some last-minute choreography with a whole heap of swishy tulle. And just so you know, there’s no better way to captivate a crowd than with a swirl and twirl! The show was fantastic, the crowd was even more fantastic.

Talking of fabulous, how about the costume? I mean, this was not just any old Pink Tutu Queen outfit, no, it was the ultimate in pink, sparkly fabulous. I had an original, shimmering pink bodice covered in sequins that screamed: 'I’m here and I’m fabulous'! And my tutu? A massive explosion of tulle, a whirlwind of pink! Oh, I really do love this life! We laughed, we danced, and we, of course, spread the gospel of the Pink Tutu, one glitter-covered, tulle-swirling, show-stopping move at a time!

My performance had people of all ages standing on their feet and joining in. And let me tell you, nothing, nothing, beats that rush of pure, joy, you get when you see a child's face light up at the sight of your Pink Tutu. One sweet little girl told me I was like a fairy come alive. Honestly, it made my entire day! (And it reminded me why I love this job so much.)

After the show, it was time to explore a little. I’m a big fan of finding the perfect café. Luckily, the theatre owners suggested I pop over to "Tullys Bakery and Tea Room," and oh, what a sweet little place it was! Now, if there's one thing a Pink Tutu Queen can’t resist, it’s a good afternoon tea. The cakes were divine! I had a beautiful raspberry meringue slice (not to be confused with the traditional raspberry sponge. This one had just enough pinkness and sweet flavour for my delicate, dainty palate!), accompanied by the perfect cup of tea. We’re talking a full cream tea here - teapot with loose-leaf tea and a real teapot cozy!

All in all, the entire Spalding trip was the best kind of Pink Tutu dream come true! I love to see the joy it brings people, I love to entertain, and of course, I love, I just love, to dance! And now, I have new fans who are singing the pink tutu tune – I even received several requests from eager 'tu-tu-wannabees' who said they wanted to see Pink Tutu Sparkles perform again soon. What more could a Pink Tutu Queen ask for?! (Except maybe, the tiniest chance of a cheeky cream cake, or maybe another glorious cup of tea.. I do so love that tea-time comfort!).

Oh darling, my life’s an adventure and it’s just full of the things I adore: glitter, tulle, twirls, and travel. What's even better? Spreading that joy everywhere I go. Who knows what amazing town, city, or countryside escape is on the horizon for your favourite Pink Tutu Queen?! One thing’s for sure – my love of the pink tutu and my travels will only get stronger, and more vibrant with each passing day.

And just so you know: If you’re interested in coming to a Pink Tutu Sparkles show, I’d be delighted to hear from you. All you have to do is follow my journey at www.pink-tutu.com or on the various social medias I love.

Till next time, you fabulous bunch of tu-tu-wannabees!

And don’t forget, darlings, the only limit on the magic of Pink Tutu Sparkle is your own imagination. Now, who’s ready for a pink tutu party?!

Pink Tutu Sparkles, out!

xx
